- Helicopter footage shows Migrants attempting to board lorries near Calais. Large numbers of migrants are attempting to get into cars and lorries, backed up at Calais, because of a strike by French ferry workers. Ships are not being allowed to leave or enter the port. Eurotunnel says it has reduced its shuttle train services between Calais and Folkestone and queues are building up on approaches to Dover.

maybe truckers should start fumigation of their trucks. Exhaust fumes are pretty cheap just channel it into the trailers. Or a closed of C.S. and C.N gas, pepper spray a the back doors to keep them from gaining entry into the truck. If they can't see to jump in or even open the door.

I was European truck driver from 88 until 2001. I didn't experiences this situation in Calais but I do not understand the transport companies in this matter. They can made it more difficult for this people. I'm sorry but really, this is to much, full is full right! Europe most close the borders again as I know that time as safe, remember everything 1989. The drivers of that time driving in an dream, an this in an free and beautifully Europe were country's as France, Spain, Italy feels with his special valuta romantic. As the header shows this was 7 years ago. Nothing like this anymore. I pass through Calais on a fairly regular basis. These days there is very little chance of anyone making it onto a ferry with proper documentation while passing through French & U.K. Border Force. Calais security is now that tight it’s easier to cross the channel in a dinghy.
They should have automatic tear gas release in their trucks!!

Seems like a good idea would be to have decoy trucks with a lot of room in the trail or. Large amounts of migrants would hop in. The driver could continue towards the ferries but u turn at the last exit, at which point the doors of the trailer would automatically lock and the driver could bring them to the nearest police station where immigration was waiting to ship them back to N. Africa. Adios amigos!

@@viktorveselinov2900 What gives you idea it’s three years max. Apart from Covid I pass through Calais on a fairly regular basis. Miles of fencing went up years ago that are not there in this video.
Edit. Another thing that is different because security has been really tightened up in the port people don’t try it on anymore.
These days it is everyone out of the vehicle. Into a long building to French passport control to have it stamped. On though to U.K. Border Force were you can have hand luggage & cases put through the scanner. Sometimes remove belts etc for the security arch. Then onto U.K. passport control. Where your passport is scanned as you look into a camera. In the meantime vehicles are being checked. There are lots of high fences with key control gates. So no just walking about between different areas.
All in all very little chance of anybody who shouldn’t getting through Calais.

Just run a hose off exhaust back to trailer, post warning on rear doors, stop at morgue on your way into town. Once word gets out you won't have migrants in back of your trailer.

Why don't trucks have locks on the doors? Another solution would be to divert the exhaust pipe into the trailer, it wouldn't work on all cargo but quite a few. The idea of bait lorries to trap migrants and take them 1000's of miles away is just sweet.
