Loved the shirt! I had to look it up and then… duh. One of my favorite movies. Smelling food is the best way to make sure it is safe to eat. We have been doing it for thousands of years!
We make venison & pork Italian sausage and found if you rub a little olive oil on the plastic stuffing tube before you put your empty casing on, it really helps it slide off easier. Another great vid!
Amazes me you aren’t at 5million already. Consistently great content, you keep things “family style” you just do what you love and share it wholeheartedly. Tug, you and your family are absolutely wonderful. Thanks for sharing a bit with us.
first video I think it was great and to see from field to table and the whole process of making the sausage was great and to see the whole family gather around and enjoy the fruit of your labor congrats on providing and making hunting a way of life maybe hope to see the ladys of the house put some meat on the table 😊
Tug on the sausage Put Red Wine Lots of Garlic and Black Pepper mix let it Sit for a day mix it up sit a day then make the Links and patties Great for Sausage sandwiches, Spaghetti sauce. an Italian Recipe!😀
Awww, Marlin gave us kisses! My sister used to cook spicy Italian sausage, heat up a can of Tomato Basil store bought soup, added some barley, mix it all together and dang skippy that was a rib filling meal! Add some crusty garlic bread and yum! Thank you for taking us with you! What an adventure! Have a wonderful week Tug Family!
Ian, you look like a Pro to me, Thank you for allowing me to come along. B, sure enjoyed the meal. She is the sweetest, gets it from her mom I'm sure. God Bless
Trick for your grinding. Don’t cut your meat into chunks. Cut it into long thick strips. When you drop them into the grinder they get pulled in and you don’t have to use the ram to push it down.
I truly love this vid today, for it really hit this old mans heart in everyway, so you guys send some my way. So you know who, the old man that lives up here on the Chesapeake Bay. Bless you all and thanks for the great vid today.
Hog fever Tug I could hear it in your breathing. The same kind of breathing every hunter has when something approaches. Good job guys I’ve never eatin any wild hog. I would love to try it one day.
G'day buddy! It's the first time I've watched your blog, I noticed you making sausages me being Italian rather than ice water we use red wine. Maybe you try a bit of both se witch one you like better. My name is Jim Arena and I'm from Melbourne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
Great video as always! I would suggest that if you are going to continue to make sausage at home invest in a dedicated stuffer. Having a dedicated stuffer is much easier than trying to stuff casings off of the grinder.
That sausage looked killer!!! But I can't overlook the fact that you said you paid $8 bucks for that pork butt WOW, what a great price! Great vid Tug :)
Hey Tug…there’s a tub for you grinder for mixing your meats and seasoning that works great…blends everything much better than by hand….awesome videos thank you and family
Tug, Heers a little homemade sausage tip you should try, blend 1 16oz (+- to taste) jar of motts apple sauce to 1 pound sausage, cook as normal, try it You'll change the way you maKe sausage
That’s looks so yummy. Here’s a tip after smoking your sausage. If you want to put grill marks & a char on it. Before placing on the grill put sausage links in a foil pan of apple juice or pineapple juice maybe even cranberry blend juice on your grill get the juice hot. Add links to juice then after soaking for like 10 minutes place on grate to get grill marks. It will add the moisture & flavor to your wild hog. Thats how we fix our links with the hogs we have butchered . Some of our links we add seasoning blends & frozen blueberries to them after we grind the sausage & pack in the casings it is delicious for breakfast with pancakes. They sell these in Amish meat lockers/butcher shops here in Indiana like this. GOD BLESS FROM WEST CENTRAL INDIANA FARMLAND
Pro tip from gpa, i started making sausage with him over 60 yrs ago. When you season your meat, cover it and put it in the fridge for 24-48 hrs. That lets the spices marry with the meat better. I'd strongly recommend a sausage stuffer, makes life easier
If you aren't familiar with the Bearded Butchers, you should check them out. They have a TH-cam channel, but they also have a website where you can purchase clean seasonings for making sausage, along with many other types of seasonings. They are a great group of folks!
Bro the video that you guys did on the St. John’s river was my favorite of them all I think. I love the way that you guys take the time to spend with Liam and bringing him with you guys And of course the whole family. He was so afraid of that first catfish then as yall caught a few he got right into it and he did great! A lot well all of that has to do with you guys taking the time with him. You guys are the best and we are country folks just like you are and born and raised in Florida up here just north of Tampa in San Antonio Fl. We love watching you guys and my brother is mentally handicapped and I’ve spoken to you before and mentioned Henry to you. We would love to meet you guys one day so if you’re ever down this way please do a meet and greet somewhere along the way. We will drive to see you guys man. Thanks for keeping it real and letting us live our lives through your videos of the things that we use to love to do. I’m a Grouper fisherman from way back man. Been going out since I was 14 years old catching Grouper and have been addicted ever since!! Talk to you soon August & Henry.
