Nice vid and very informative. For future reference maybe take off the plate and spigot fitting first and use the guage to determine the diameter of the pipe valve. Cut a hole and then place the fittings back on so it functions as one covering without worrying about properly caulking around the plate.

Hi Angela, the contact paper is water proof peel and stick contact paper. It states it on the package roll. It's the Duck brand that you can purchase from Walmart. It's $5.48. My apologies for the delay in responding.
You're welcome and yes it is Waterproof. Here is my 8 month review video. Its still holding up today th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. TFW BLESSINGS
Thank you. Here is the video of my 8 month review that I did over 10 months ago sharing how it's holding up and how to clean it. th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. It's very easy and it's still holding up very well. I will be doing a 2 year review in July of this year. Thanks for watching. Blessings
This is my sign to do it !!! My bathroom is so ugly and in desperate need of renovation. I'm only a little concerned with it not being heat resistant because my bathroom is small and heats up quick, but it also needs to so no mold will grow. But I will still try! Worst case scenario I will have just wasted some time and contact paper. Much better than risking it with paint.
Hello Kel....I used 1 pack of the peel and stick tile in the niche which I purchased from Home Depot and 1.5 to 2 rolls of Peel and Stick Marble Contact Paper that I purchased from Walmart. It's the Duck Brand Marble Peel and Stick Contact paper. It is Waterproof....which is a lot of viewers question. I really appreciate you watching. Blessings
Ma’am, you may have just saved me because my bathroom shower is looking a mess. I have one question. What about around the edges? Meaning around the very top of the shower wall and the bottom where they usually put caulk. Should you caulk it to prevent the edges from rolling up. My shower is not as smooth as the shower you started with. It had fake white tile that overtime when it got old. It looked like paper bag as the white came off. I don’t want to tell you what I did to try to cover the paper bag looking part up. My concern is can moisture get in around the edge is being that is not sealed by caulk? Also, I’m wondering is there something I should put on my existing wall before I put the contact paper on or should I put a basic white on it first, and then put a design on top of the white.?
Hello...When I use contact paper, If I do overlap, its very small overlapping to where I attempt to hide the seams. Most times I try to bud the seams up together and match patterns. I hope this helps. I appreciate you watching. Blessings and Happy Holidays.
What really be wanting to know. Did it last and how long. There's no video anywhere giving us an update!!! Can you do do please? It's been 2yrs since this video
Hello Jasmine. I did an 8 month review over a year ago. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html Here is also a Live Q&A Review done months after doing the 8 month review: th-cam.com/video/HpgjkNDm9k8/w-d-xo.html It's still up and holding up very well. No mold or mildew. I stay with my daughter every Summer. Since it will be 3 years next Summer I will put an announcement in my Community Tab that I will do another review and maybe another Q&A, because I'll be doing the EXACT same thing in my daughter's master bathroom. Thanks so much for watching.
Hi Leslie, it's so funny that you would ask that. I've never covered a shower floor, HOWEVER, if I were to do your floor I would clean it very well, thoroughly dry it, sand it or use Liquid Sander *which is in a bottle)...I shared THAT PRODUCT in the UNPLANNED KITCHEN MAKEOVER video. After sanding it remove the shiny surface, use whatever peel and stick flooring of your choice. I do have a video showing how I laid peel and stick flooring in my daughter's kitchen. The title of that video is titled DIY PEEL AND STICK FLOORING. I hope this helps, if not please let me know in detail what you're wanting to do. You can email me at jrc4uandme@gmail.com. Again, I hope this helps. Have a blessed day.

I share how it's maintained with cleaning in the Review Video. It's my daughter's bathroom in Florida, I live in Georgia, but I will be going back there next month, so I'll do another review since it's been up since July of 2020 and it's my Popular Video where others ask the same questions about it's durability, moisture, mold, etc. Just FYI....THERE'S NO MOLD issues. Here's another link when I applied it to my sister's bathroom where I used Polyurethane in her shower (per her request) to go on top of the contact paper, which I think was a genius idea on her part. th-cam.com/video/D-QICB4MVDQ/w-d-xo.html Thank you for watching.
There are no issues. I recommend cleaning it with SOFT SCRUB CLEANSER AND SOFT SPONGE. THIS BRAND is water proof. It's the Duck Brand sold at Walmart. I will be doing a review...this is the response that i've been sharing with others who have inquired.........Please refer to my video entitled HOW COVID-19 Affected Me, it explains why one hasn't been done yet, I also share in my Community Tab as to why it wasn't done in December as I originally planned. I plan to do a review in June 2021 when i return to Florida.
Hello, For THIS particular Brand, not sure. I've never removed any that I have applied. I would imagine there might be a little residue because of the adhesive on the back, and I don't know if there is a difficult clean up AFTER removing. I think you would have to consider what it's applied to as well. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for watching. Blessings
I believe do. Just as long as the surface is clean and throughly dry. Here's a video of where I did sister's shower and sealed it with Polyurethane th-cam.com/video/D-QICB4MVDQ/w-d-xo.html. Mine was done using the Duck Brand sold at Walmart. Any waterproof peel and stick will work. Here is a link to how I used Polyurethane on my sister's shower that I also covered with the Walmart Duck Brand peel and stick contact paper. It might be a step you'd like to use. th-cam.com/video/D-QICB4MVDQ/w-d-xo.html
It depends on the shower size. For THAT shower it took one and a half rolls...and it was 20 inches x 15ft a roll of the Duck Brand that I purchased from Walmart not from Amazon. My sister's shower took about the same amount.
Moving into my new home. The shower is in desperate need of a makeover. So thank you for this fantastic tutorial. I was curious on how well its held up through the years.
Hello, Congratulations....here's an update review I did over almost 2 years ago. It's still holding up even today. No mold experience. I did a 10 month Review video if you'd like to watch that as well. I hope you were inspired to duplicate this DIY. Thanks for Watching 🙂
Just curious to know how long this lasts? You would think with the constant moisture in the shower it would come off quickly. Am I mistaken? Because I would love to do this if not!
Good morning...I applied that in June or July of 2020. Here's an 8 month review done in March of 2021 (I believe). It's my daughter's bathroom. I stay with her every Summer. th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. It is still holding up today (November 21, 2022, no moisture and no mold . I live in Atlanta, so I'll be going to my daughter's home next Summer July 2023 and do another Live Chat and Review. I appreciate you watching.
holy crap. you did a great job, I've been wanting to do something to my shower as well. And that tool you are using, that is an amazing tool, thanks for the video I just bought that gadget for installing a peel and stick under my cabinets.
Hey you've done a wonderful job!! I just wanted to know whether you've used to different peel and sticks for wall and floor? I was wondering if the wall paper can be used for floor as well. And how long would it last.
Thank you so much. I've never used THIS contact paper for walls. I've only used it on the showers, countertops and other furniture pieces. I PERSONALLY would NOT use this or any other contact PAPER on floors. The longevity on showers, countertops and walls can last for several years, just as long as it is covered with a polyurethane and taken care of. I did an 8 month review video on THIS shower, over a year ago, and it's STILL holding up WITHOUT polyurethan. I hope this answered your questions. I really appreciate you watching. Blessings
I've seen one of those. I think I'm going to order one. But I think it would have been easier to just flip the gauger over and push the whole thing down at once instead of one by one. I didn't know you could use contact paper on the shower. Excellent idea.
I absolutely LOOOOOVE that gauger. You can use it ALMOST on any surface. It is waterproof. That particular one i purchased from Walmart and is waterproof ONLY. There is contact paper that is waterproof, oil proof, mold proof and heat proof. Watch my video " The Unplanned Kitchen Makeover 2020" I use contact paper on the countertop purchased from Amazon. Glad you enjoyed the video. TFW
I have always wanted to do this to my shower but my boyfriend always said no because of the shower. I’d love to know how it’s holding up. I’m going to do mine anyway.
How do you handle contact paper without it sticking to itself somewhere along the lines and ruining the entire piece? I can't even look at that stuff without it balling up into a sticky mess.
🤣🤣🤣. You have to roll it out a little at a time. I did a video showing how. The title is: Peel and Stick Installation Tutorial | Uncut and Unedited Tutorial. I hope it helps.
Looks great 👍..how is it holding up with taking showers with the steam and moisture...I have tile like you originally had and I hate it...so I would also like to cover it...just wanted to know how it's holding up .thanks so much.
Thank you...It's holding up GREAT. I will be doing a review in June, because I'm there every year in June.....I may possibly be doing a review in March because of an upcoming trip there. I live in Atlanta and this is my daughter's shower in Florida. You can do it and be worry free. Just clean the shower surround using soft scrub. Watch my video entitled "Contact Paper Review / Why I did not do a Review" I show in it the cleaning product and explain how to clean it".
No ma'am Here is the Live Chat video where I answered that question and my reason why I believe it wouldn't mold. Keep kn mind I'm not a Professional, but this is just my personal opinion. It's still holding up with no issues. th-cam.com/video/HpgjkNDm9k8/w-d-xo.html
Hi Kalish....it's holding up beautifully. No peeling, no mold, no Mildew. I just did a LIVE Q&A while in this bathroom answering questions that my answer more questions you may have and I did an 8 month review washing the shower wall. You can watch those videos to get a visual aid to possibly more questions. Thank you so much for watching. Have a blessed day.

How water resistant is this DIY? I'm looking to revamp my condo bathroom which currently has fiber glass showers that we can't replace prior to an HOA board review. I would like to know how long this revamp would last before needing to be replaced?
This particular peel and stick contact paper is water resistant. I recommend using soft scrub cleanser and soft Sponge to keep it cleaned. I will do a review in June (which will be a year,). It's my daughter's bathroom in Florida and I live in Atlanta. Watch my video titled, "Peel and Stick Contact Paper/ Why I Did Not do A Review". TFW
Hello Dkiya. Yes, I will be using it in my daughter's apartment shower. Use THIS peel and stick waterproof contact paper, which is The Duck Brand sold at Walmart. Here's the link of the Review I did over a year ago. th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. I was just there at my daughter's house from May 2022 to September 2022 and that's the shower I used every morning and night. Thank you for watching. Blessings
It took about a day and a half. I started around 10 a.m. and stopped about 5 p.m. and started around 10 a.m. the next day and finished about 2 p.m. That's just a round about guess because I did the sink and Floor. The entire bathroom took a week (Monday and finished Friday)
Thank you for sharing! This turned out beautifully!! My bathroom has small tiles similar to yours, so this is exactly the inspiration that I needed without spending a fortune. How has the contact paper held up to the moisture and heat?
I apologize for such a late response. I will be doing a update Video in December on how it's holding up, which is great. It will be around Christmas time because I live in Atlanta GA. It's my daughter's bathroom in Jacksonville FL. TFW

I think you did an amazing job. It inspired me to do the same this weekend. With the paper, do you overlap or just put it right up against the edge? Is there shrinkage after, like weeks later? Thanks again!
Great so glad that I inspired you. I budded the sections right up against each other. No shrinkage. Here's my Live Chat Q&A Video: th-cam.com/video/HpgjkNDm9k8/w-d-xo.html and here's the 8 month review video: th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. This is my very first video on your channel and you did not disappoint. This is AMAZING!!!!! You have so much talent. Did the look last? My concern is the repeated use of the shower will cause the peel and stick contact paper, to lose its stickiness over a short period of time.
I'm glad you liked the video. It did and does last. Watch my 8 month review video on this shower surround I wash the shower and explain what to use to clean it. I just did my sister's shower and sink vanity this month using the same contact paper from Walmart. I will upload the video soon. I used Polyurethane on her shower and sink vanity (at her request). Keep a look out for that. Thanks again for watching.
Yes you can use Polyurethane. Here is a video where I used it in my sister's bathroom...th-cam.com/video/D-QICB4MVDQ/w-d-xo.html. I am do glad you were inspired and was able to do your bathroom as well. Blessings to you and your family.
It would have looked better if you put the paper vertically. It will give you a waterfall effect. Is still looks good for the kind of material you are using.
Yes, you can take it off when you move. It's water proof and will stay until you're ready to take it off. I haven't done a review as of yet regarding it's durability. i've been sending this information to others..........Please refer to my video entitled HOW COVID-19 Affected Me, it explains why one hasn't been done yet, I also share in my Community Tab as to why it wasn't done in December as I originally planned. Nice vid and very informative. For future reference maybe take off the plate and spigot fitting first and use the guage to determine the diameter of the pipe valve. Hello I am looking for part 1 of this video to know the color grey that is on this wall
Waiting for my daughter to let me know. She lives in Jacksonville Florida and I live in Atlanta. Her father painted the wall in 2020 and unfortunately he passed away in 2021. I will let you know if she locates the can of paint.
Just out of curiosity....
Putting wall paper in a shower... showering everyday, how has that effected the wall paper?
She is using contact paper, not wallpaper. It is water-resistant.
Would love the answer from the creator. I attempted contact paper in a room with moisture and for me it did peel.
Hi Angela, the contact paper is water proof peel and stick contact paper. It states it on the package roll. It's the Duck brand that you can purchase from Walmart. It's $5.48. My apologies for the delay in responding.
You are correct Lucious....Contact Paper is TOTALLY different from Wall Paper. i did answer her and verified it with her. Thank you for watching.
@@phyllisjrcrestorationdecordesi Thank you
Wow thank you for the ideas .
I’m wondering if the contact paper is waterproof?
You're welcome and yes it is Waterproof. Here is my 8 month review video. Its still holding up today th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. TFW BLESSINGS
I've wanted to do this and wondered if it would work. Thanks I needed to see it done
You're welcome and TFW
Thank you so much for doing this. I wanted to do something like this for my shower.
You're welcome...I appreciate you watching and wish you much success in the installation.
Beautiful.. thanx for ideas.. how do you clean without messing up paper or bubbling etc?
Try it, you won't know until you do. Best wishes. You can do it.
Thank you for the idea.
You're welcome and TFW
I am grateful...i may be trying this method in my bathroom soon...thanks for your courageness and pointers!!
Thank you so much, you can do it.
How many packs did you use if each materials to complete the shower and niche?
Very nice you did a great job 👍
Think you so much.
amazing gadget
It is. I love it.
Did you overlap where the. 2 pieces come together?
Hello...When I use contact paper, If I do overlap, its very small overlapping to where I attempt to hide the seams. Most times I try to bud the seams up together and match patterns. I hope this helps. I appreciate you watching. Blessings and Happy Holidays.
What really be wanting to know. Did it last and how long. There's no video anywhere giving us an update!!! Can you do do please? It's been 2yrs since this video
If you did a review updated video can you please link it in the comment below so I could see it! Thank you

Here is also a Live Q&A Review done months after doing the 8 month review: th-cam.com/video/HpgjkNDm9k8/w-d-xo.html
It's still up and holding up very well.
Hello Jasmine. I linked 2 Review videos in your comment. I really appreciate you watching. Blessings
Good to know that I can use this peel and stick over my shower
As a whole year later how is your shower, did you have to redo it?
Glad you watched it. I used this on Fiber glass and ceramic Tiled showers.
Any ideas on what to do for the shower floor (I have an acrylic shower surround)? Thanks!
Very nice. Its coming out absolutely beautiful

How does this do with moisture over time. So curious to know. Looks amazing 👏 😍
Hello Lilliane...Here is the link to my 8 month review done well over a year ago. th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html
It's still holding up VERY well.

Wow such a risk! It looks great. I may try this because I hate my bathroom tile
Will there be any residue left when peeling this off?
Hello, For THIS particular Brand, not sure. I've never removed any that I have applied. I would imagine there might be a little residue because of the adhesive on the back, and I don't know if there is a difficult clean up AFTER removing. I think you would have to consider what it's applied to as well. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for watching. Blessings
Can I use this on a very old shower?
I believe do. Just as long as the surface is clean and throughly dry. Here's a video of where I did sister's shower and sealed it with Polyurethane th-cam.com/video/D-QICB4MVDQ/w-d-xo.html. Here's my 8 month review on the shower video you watched. th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. I hope this information helps. Thanks for Watching. Blessings

@@phyllisjrcrestorationdecordesi I already ordered my paper from Amazon!
I forgot to ask you, how many rolls did it take to do your shower? I ordered 4
Thank you Jazzievand I appreciate the input....I'll consider it. TFW
My bathtub is about the same make same size. How many rolls of contact paper did you need for this project?
If I remember correctly I used 3 or 4 for the Shower and one roll for the vanity....not quite a complete roll fir for the Vanity.
have you experienced any mold?
Hey I'm a fan, you're unstoppable.
Awe thank you.
holy crap. you did a great job, I've been wanting to do something to my shower as well. And that tool you are using, that is an amazing tool, thanks for the video I just bought that gadget for installing a peel and stick under my cabinets.
Awe thank you so much. Yes that tool is a time saver on error free cuts. TFW
she did her best
It's been over a year now since the install, how are the tiles in the shower doing?
The contact paper is still holding strong. I will be there for Christmas, so I will do another review.
Great job! Thanks for sharing that gauge.
Thanks...yeah, that gauge was a game changer for me.
how many rolls did you use?
Hello Kizzie, I believe I used 2 and a half rolls. Thank you for watching
@@phyllisjrcrestorationdecordesi how long did it take you to do this?
To do the shower, it took 2 days. To do the entire bathroom it took a week.

TFW
Is this renter friendly?
Hello Dkiya. Yes, I will be using it in my daughter's apartment shower. Use THIS peel and stick waterproof contact paper, which is The Duck Brand sold at Walmart. Here's the link of the Review I did over a year ago. th-cam.com/video/9eOjMc5lSWU/w-d-xo.html. I was just there at my daughter's house from May 2022 to September 2022 and that's the shower I used every morning and night. Thank you for watching. Blessings
Just curious, is all of this removable?
Yes it is removable with no damage to the surface. It us Waterproof and holds up. No mold or mildew after affects. I will be doing a review in June.
How long did that last in the shower?
It took about a day and a half. I started around 10 a.m. and stopped about 5 p.m. and started around 10 a.m. the next day and finished about 2 p.m. That's just a round about guess because I did the sink and Floor. The entire bathroom took a week (Monday and finished Friday)
Is this renter friendly????
I found it to be renter friendly, but you have to do what's comfortable for you.
Awesome makeover, tfs and blessings!!!

Watch my 8 month review video on this shower surround
I wash the shower and explain what to use to clean it. I just did my sister's shower and sink vanity this month using the same contact paper from Walmart. I will upload the video soon. I used Polyurethane on her shower and sink vanity (at her request). Keep a look out for that. Thanks again for watching.
Can I also use polycrylic to seal the contact paper?
Yes you can use Polyurethane. Here is a video where I used it in my sister's bathroom...th-cam.com/video/D-QICB4MVDQ/w-d-xo.html. I am do glad you were inspired and was able to do your bathroom as well. Blessings to you and your family.
It would have looked better if you put the paper vertically. It will give you a waterfall effect. Is still looks good for the kind of material you are using.
I just watched it and I see what you're saying ..yes I agree. Thank you so much for watching I appreciate your feedback. Blessings
