@Drayano60 The rival fights do change the team rosters around as the game progresses, though he still has that special starter, and giovanni has a full roster of six in all of his fights, and he gets progressively more difficult than the last. There are some nice references involved too.
@dracoboy44 turns out i was wrong, but if it were the case then it would just be what the hack creator decided it appears there are though, just later than usual
@SinisterHoodedFigure Oh I was thinking the backtracking was forced, glad to hear it isn't D: Sorry if I was a bit fierce then Hmm, I guess the level ups are pretty late then, I haven't seen a single one thus far
@Drayano60 well, I try my best to give some very good moves as possible. There were pokemon in the game that had very bad moves, like rhydon and tauros for example. They both get leer and tail whip in the original, and no good stab moves. This is not the case in this hack.
@SinisterHoodedFigure well i was mostly just going gym leaders, though it was more just not rival fights. i'll go ahead and do the gio ones if they're worth it/you want me to. could even do the rival fights now, i haven't done the cerulean one yet so
@Drayano60 It was kinda intended you fight the rival first, go through cerulean cape, then take on misty, hence the levels. At least I might be able to see this rival fight.
@Drayano60 to reassure you on rock tunnel, the good news is that the layout is unchanged except for wild pokemon and trainers. I'll spare you from the bad news though.
@dracoboy44 the majority of level up moves tend to be useless moves like focus energy, tail whip, poison sting, or just redundant moves. The initial moves do start out good, and as you level up or evolve, you get better ones at very high base power. The stone evolutions did not have space at all to put level up moves, so they tend to have very strong initial moves.. starmie is unfortunately the most notorious example.
@SinisterHoodedFigure i see, will definitely record gio then may as well record the rival in that case, the first two fights are usually pretty boring anyway due to the low amount of pokes and stuff. i was really surprised when he threw that starter out though o_o;
Congrats on making it past Mt moon and misty. Yes, I had quite a time testing mt moon, getting past the voltorb and team rocket, and I had to go to cerulean cape to get some level ups. The pokemon do have level up moves, but these moves tend to be a bit useless, except for the really good moves later on. Sorry about the rocket grunt with the gastly and kadabra, I had to backtrack too. Won't happen again in other dungeons.
@MegaShaboom Oh I forgot to reply to your PM, sorry I'll check the simple stuff first; are you actually patching a Blue ROM or trying to load the IPS file directly?
Why does everything know stinking Dragon Rage! DX
@AceAviations2 you do get a tm in this city that has the base power on par with earthquake in the original. Same typing too.
@SinisterHoodedFigure i was already panicking about a possible rock tunnel
;-;

This dude played Pokemon Stadium and got some ideas.
@SinisterHoodedFigure bad news

this is the sort of thing that keeps me playing, just to see what awful punishment is next :X
Sent out a Lvl 15 Farfetch'D against a tank like Lapras. That's murder lol.

@PhoenixBladeUnlimite I don't know for sure, but I guess I might be yeah :p
Just remember, you exit out of a tree in top left of Viridian Forest

If you like the viridian forest maze, i'm sure you'll like the safari zone one

@SinisterHoodedFigure i had a feeling you'd have done it like that, but my wiggly was already so high levelled i just went for a gym

God, that hack is evil, earthquake, a typial late-game move on the 2nd gym leader. What the hell was he thinking.
