Hmmm, I watched your video and would like to jump in on a few things 1. Before the springs settle you are in a round 500-2000 miles or a hard track day for the springs to settle it's all about heat circles. 2 I have had MSS on around my cars and I can 100% say comfort has always been improved just to name a few TTRS, C43AMG, 718 S Boxster and now currently on my 911 GTS all cars have active suspension and I have had no issues what I have found out with the Porsche and Audi the suspension dose learn and adapts so maybe you need to give it time also Positive rake is very important if you don't set up the car right you get issues trust I know all about that hands up a lesson learnt. 3. Now my mate had an M140 with the kit because he liked how my car drove with MSS and the car was much better and also overstock. 4. When people talk about something expensive I find that funny I do not know what MSS pay for parts but everything is made in the UK and Garmery I know for a fact it's not cheap, to my understanding the reason why it takes a little longer than other springs to settle it's the grade of steel used I see MSS as a high-end brand like Akropohic Exhaust system they are not the loudest but the sounds is a required taste and many would say it's not worth the price but for me, I have had many different brands but I would say AE is OE plus sounds and if from the start your car sounds nice it makes its 2.0 so on my 911 very happy...For the guys who don't understand the price remember Gucci is not looking for customers who want to buy a bag from Primark. PS I have their new Hybrid system on my 911 which is stack springs front and rear so because of that it adds more comfort to the car.
Thank you for your detailed comments, please note my feedback: 1. Had them now for over a year, plenty of miles, still not impressed. 2. Comfort did not increase in my case. I can only speak of this car and how the mod affected this car only. Was not a good mod. 3. OK, but please clarify: His car might have different setup, e.g. does he have BMW adaptive dampers like mine? I can only speak of the experience of these springs on a car with adaptive dampers like mine. 4. It might be that their product is better for different applications. If the specific product for a 911 works great on a 911, this doesn't mean a similar product from the same company is just as effective for a different application e.g. BMW F20 with adaptive dampers. For example they are likely to put more R&D effort where there will be greater return on investment. Now, of course I don't know any details about MSS development programmes. I can only say how I feel after installing MSS springs on my car, and that is disappointed.
@@NoBrainerTalk he no longer has the car (M140) so can get that information...also I understand that he got a bump stop change from MSS which changed how the car drives I am not sure if the white bump is softer than the black could say contact them because you may have the wrong bump stop. It's not just the 911 it has been on all my cars and many of my cars meet mates also have them on their cars and all say it is more comfortable overstock Evolve seems to have them on a number of BMW and he seems to like them...but as i said you may have the wrongs Bumpstop
Tbh I never got why people pay about ca 1000€ just for some springs, for me personally all these very good “reviews” for these MSS was just pure marketing. My recommendation is to go for either Eibach pro-kit springs for ca 15mm fixed lowering, or go for some proper ST or KW coilover kit
I think you are right, and before I bought them, I did not know that you have to wait 500 miles for them to bed in (you have to drive moderately for the first 500 miles), because people on TH-cam were thrashing their car around straight after install. They continue to lower BTW, another 5mm lower right now with no adjustment done. So I am waiting for the "final" height before adjusting them again. This is also something that I did not know from TH-cam videos, that the height needs readjusting periodically as the springs continue to drop. I guess that's true for all springs, but in my case I only wanted a minor drop and now it's too low.. :) Looks good though...
Lower springs ,, will not improve acceleration times ,,,around a race track yes. Get the under body brace & subframe inserts for a cheap handling mod ,,makes a big difference
When you lower one of those BMWs you need to reset the height of the car by using a computer connected to the OBD2. That will reset the base ride height for the shock absorbers
Actually Peter, it's a good question. I'm not sure. I have decided on a new set of 19" wheels that will allow me to fit wider tires front and back, this will likely change the handling characteristics. It might be worth waiting for that first before removing the springs (see how they work together). The budget this year is tight so might have to wait. I have made some decisions how to COMPLETELY transform the car, this will take time to implement.
OK, so as you probably know MSS says that the springs will continue to compress for the first 2000km, so final height can only be measured after 2000km. I've exceeded that and here's where we are (my video shows how I measured): Both Front: Pre MSS 35.5cm, After MSS 34.5cm, 2000km later (with no adjustment): 33.7cm. So the springs have continued to compress by another 0.8cm with no adjustment made. I am now 18mm lower than stock and there is room for more. Aft: Pre MSS 35.5cm (Left side) & 36cm (Right side), After MSS both were 35.3cm (this was with maximum lowering - checked twice), 2000km later (with no adjustment): 34.8mm. So the springs have continued to compress by another 0.5cm with no adjustment made. Maximum lowering for rear wheels is therefore 7mm for the Left side and 12mm for the Right side. I am told the driver side is usually a tad higher out of factory to compensate for the weight of the driver, not sure how true this is. So there we have it, the aft side is definitely not possible to lower by 30mm, the front side I would say could possibly go down to 25mm max. Not impressed by MSS. Reading forums it seems others have also experienced less than advertised lowering. The videos on TH-cam showing fantastic results seem to be just marketing or maybe the product is not suitable for cars like mine with adaptive suspension. Just my opinion.
@@NoBrainerTalk and your opinion is as informative as anyone else’s. I think I will trust your analysis regarding ride height more than others. Cheers and do keep up your great efforts with your channel bud 👍

Not exactly true, better rear springs can help with squat and therefore traction which can improve straight line speed.

Wow, if that is true, I thank you!
