Watching you work is positively captivating. Simply amazing. The only drawback, is that you make it look so easy....and I'm sure most of us know it's not...lol I love your creations...they are so incredibly well done. So many 'cardboard crafts' look cheesy....but you somehow manage to dispel that pitfall. I suppose it's because you are an artist as well...which shows itself when you bring it all together with your skilled painting techniques. Maybe because she put the ship on rocks? I thought she was going to paint the egg cartons blue - it would have looked even better. But this was a great build, regardless.
Are you an engineer? Your measuring and cutting are so precise. I couldn't build this if all the pieces were cut for me. First the wagon then this boat. I am in awe of your abilities. Thanks for sharing with us.!!
Here is a thought; I think you should put together a collection of your creations, the plans and detailed instructions into a book and get it published. As someone who buys a lot of books on all things creative I think I can safely say there is nothing like this on the market. Your creations are certainly good enough. As a child my family was very poor and we were always encouraged to find inexpensive ways of amusing ourselves. We made cars, trains , boats . . . from sardine cans, toilet roll centers, whatever. This is a dying, but refreshing skill in this world of instant thrills. What a wonderful gift you have. Thankyou

Love it ! I will make the pointed out reaching sail pole that goes horizontal, to be more sharp at the end… and put a steaming wheel in , and a mascot beauty ornament at the front end, and a flag….the water should have some blue in it of different shades…are there some streams of banners at the top ? Maybe smaller sized stairs, and put some barrels on the deck, and the sail rest spots on the masts…..and some lamps…..
Your children are so lucky to have you, this skill you have would be amazing for school projects,I'm watching this because I have a school history project and I have to make that exact same ship and I can't even draw the lines as straight as yours, god has blessed you with the talent!!!!!

@@PrakashPrakash-en8qt You can download the paper patterns and then I just traced the shapes with tracing paper stuck to my desktop computer. Then transfer them to the cardboard .

Wished I'd seen this a few years back when I was building a boat for an RPG - I ended up using foamboard, dowels, posterboard, and foam sheets. This is vastly cheaper and looks as good.
Absolutely beautiful. Only thing I would do differently is paint before adding the rigging as I would tend to splatter paint all over the thread and make a right pig's ear of it

an artist that actually knows how to make a decent thumbnail, many other crafters could learn from your thumbnails they're almost perfect
