Nice! I love fishing the sandies when they're running heavy and you get bit on every casts! Watch those gill plates, though...they'll slice you up quick, fast, and in a hurry. Besides the Roadrunner, we like a small silver or white Rooster Tail, too. Stay Safe!
I’ll try the rooster tail next time out. I was hoping to catch more I’ll try again soon. My buddy went out the weekend before and caught about 15. Let’s hope for that luck next time! Thanks for watching!
@@LunkerHunter small green road runner with spoon and also exactly what he is using in this video. I've also been jigging for the past hour with no luck, so I think I'll call it a day. I'll try it again tomorrow on another part of the river.

I was just there yesterday, at 6:45 I know that exact log you were on!
Fish weren't biting
Haha. No way! When the bites gets better, leave me a comment. It was definitely tough out there. Don’t forget to sub! And thanks for watching 🤜🏻🤛🏻

@@LunkerHunter Be sure to put a swivel about 12-18 inches above the rooster tail...they can twist your line up something fierce, sometimes!
@@DEADorALIVEkayaking will do. Thanks! You live in East Texas?
@@LunkerHunter No, we’re in South Alabama. Travel to East Texas a good bit, though…my wife’s mother lives in Hawkins, just north of Tyler.
@@DEADorALIVEkayaking awesome. I need to check out Bama.
Nice! Please be careful in that river system buddy.

Currently on the river now and not a thing bitten. There's gotta be some kinda trick I'm not aware of.

Those white bass look like a lot of fun. Do they taste like crappie?
I haven’t actually had them. This was first time fishing for them! However, I have heard crappie are hard to beat🤤
Sounds like you could use a nicer rod and reel.
Haha. Why???
