Live & learn, Elliot. We novices always make a few (costly) mistakes when building a house. The new flooring looks amazing. Sorry you had a bad week....but onward & upward, luv.Things could always be worse. MY flooring buckled as well. 😫 The contractor failed to put in a moisture barrier on the slab and all the flooring was ruined. Of course they were nowhere to be found when it came to rectifying the problem.

The new flooring looks great! I would avoid the gym if you're not comfortable and do find a swimming pool for exercise and hydrotherapy instead. I agree the water washing over the body is far more relaxing and beneficial. Or why not look for a Tai Chi class in your area? Good for de-stressing but surprisingly a work out too. Your face looks back to normal, when speaking your eyebrow lifts. So Yaaaaaay! 👍🥰🥰🥰🥰

Glad you're talking about stress levels. I had had that issue at my last job, and yes, I thought I need to chill, to not worrying too much. You know what, it turned out it was not me. It was my coworkers, for they said I'm not allowed to have a single free day, not even a free half day. Crazy,huh? I quitted, obviously. But it took me several years of my life to realize it.

Your floor looks amazing! The journal is a great idea, I do it on the Notes app on my iPhone. Once my thought, idea or worry is written down, then I don’t have to keep worrying about it or worry about forgetting it. It’s there and all I have to do is go and look at it anytime. It takes a load off of my mind. It’s a great relief. Especially at night as you’re trying to get settled to get some rest and go to sleep!

You're making a remarkable recovery, Elliot - the BP is already unnoticeable. Regular cream cakes are a cure, clearly! Great ideas for relaxing and as others have said, perhaps a hot tub could be an addition chez Elliot and Matt? Also, apart from a few short breaks, it's been a long time since you went on holiday and January is still far away. Any chance of a getaway somewhere relaxing, perhaps in September when the schools go back? It's nearly always a nice time of the year for a British holiday. Chronic illness likes to rear its ugly head when our defenses get low. I love reading too, I highly recommend The Other Bolton Girl by Philippa Gregory, the movie was bad (my opinion) the book was INCREDIBLE. That was a LOAD of sweets guys, naughty naughty. Your garden 🌸🌺🌹🌷🌼🌻🪻 is gorgeous.

the best historical book recommendation I can think of is The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco. Also, spanish writer Perez Reverte, has a lot of of good historical books. But you can also check your local bookshop, pretty sure you'll find brand new released historical novels. 😺

I love reading too, I highly recommend The Other Bolton Girl by Philippa Gregory, the movie was bad (my opinion) the book was INCREDIBLE.

Elliot so glad to see you recovering and wishing you well. I know what stress can do as my pelvic floor has been very tight which is stress and anxiety induced. Take care, relax and always be kind to yourself.
One of my students had Bells Palsy which was triggered by stress. Glad you're finding ways to manage it. Maybe a hot tub on the back patio? Love the new floor! 😊

the best historical book recommendation I can think of is The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco. Also, spanish writer Perez Reverte, has a lot of of good historical books. But you can also check your local bookshop, pretty sure you'll find brand new released historical novels. 😺
