Elementsabers are my favorite archetype. I’m so upset they aren’t even playable at a rogue level. They got 1 wave of support and that’s it, criminal

I run invoked and it feels decent on masterduel especially if you can get out mechaba and both of the mana in 1-2 turns at least in gold rank right now
I love the story surrounding the Elementsaber's and summoning the Elemental Lords.
Love the lore! Honestly ElementSabers might be my favorite warrior archetype. Even made an pure warrior deck of them in masterduel. Something I would like to do myself, but haven't gotten around to. So many decks to build. Such a cool archetype.
I love the art on the archtype but its difficult to build successfully due to its cards being too fair. All of their individual effects don't really give you any +1s without the field and even then the free soft opt rota the field can additionally do sacrifices a battle phase to do so. The cards aren't bad but they aren't good either so one or two waves of dumb support might make the deck go nuts which honestly they deserve.
How funny would it be if they got a new wave of support that was 100% fair, but was also just so good, meta contenders still had trouble dealing with it😂😂
minusing yourself to use effects isn't fair it's just bad, it could only be considered fair like a decade and a half ago but even then we were in the middle of like dark armed dragon synchro bs
I am here for this. I love this analysis so much, and am thrilled to see some of the possibilities with the newer archetypes like Horus.
On a note about Palace, it is hilarious to me how often opponents forget that they have an extra turn due to the 2nd effect. I’ve won more games to people surrendering based on the false assumption I can beat them on my next turn than I have actually giving them the anticipated beatdown.
Lapauila Mana’s protection effect makes me feel warm inside, on both a mechanical and thematic level. I have a special place in my heart for leaders who take the time to look after their subordinates as well as their masters. And if you get two on the field, nothing feels more godly.
The lack of any Extra Deck presence both allows for a ton of different possibilities in build variety, with varying degrees of viability, and harkens back to an age of Yu-Gi-Oh! that didn’t allow for 10 minute omni-negate combos on the first turn. Not gonna lie though, I’ve played a Lair of Darkness variant of Elementsabers, nothing feels funnier than tributing the opponent’s monsters with Training to swarm the field, as difficult as it is to do consistently.
Despite everything I love about them, I can’t help but feel they got done dirty by Konami. Even at the time of release for some of the Elemental Lords, the cards some of them were based on were already unbanned and seeing play. As mentioned, one of the two most important cards in the deck has to rely on generic searching to bring out a lot of the time.
I hope to see more Elementsabers in the future. They deserve some attention.
Short people with big weapons always cracks me up so Aina and Mulenglacia just has a really cool name.
As mentionned in your Charmer video, I built myself a deck mixed whit Elementsaber and Charmers. using the field spell of the sabers along whit the continous spell of the Charmers to give massive boost in attack and deffence to my monsters, going up to +3000/+1200 (it is funny to see a little charmer body a high lvl/rank/link) . I also use DarkDoriado(an other boost to stats) and Elemental grace Doriado as well, using Unpossess in case my sabers or lords gets destroyed to get a Charmer of the enemy attribute to steal it if possible or use the trapcard of the sabers to tribute the stolen monsters to get an element saber out.
That feild spell needs a retrain without the "Once per turn" clause. Its to reatructive for modern decks. Or they at least need another card that replaces the "discard" to activate effects.

As you mentioned it, I would love to see support for the Doriado series. Done right, an archetype that centres around multiple attributes would make a really interesting deck to play, especially if those monsters could act as multiple attributes like Elemental Mistress Doriado can, and who better to represent this than Doriado herself, especially with all the legacy support on its way.

Im not coping, you can play elementsabers and have a mediocre end board with a good decklist
Honestly, element saber is one of my favorite decks of all time. It's such a simple play style but it can be tailored to a variety of builds. I actually took third at locals a while ago with Bystial Elementsabers. It's really fun to mess around with. Hell, because Lapauila Mana gives built in protection, I was able to out play Sky Strikers which was awesome.
I feel like what also makes the deck really flexible is not only can you play a variety of styles, but you can also play it without an extra Deck which is what I typically have done. Which reminds me, I need to do a build with the elemental Lords again because it's been a while
It's a solid archetype, it just needs updating.
@@MysticEle I agree with Nova and that we need a Divine attribute Elemental Lord and possibly a few other cards. Like a searcher. I would love to see this deck get more support because it is very cool aesthetically and in theme. It also helps that the deck itself is extremely budget
the elementsabers are really cool but most of the lords have pretty mid effects for their summoning requirements tbh
i think at the very least they should be spell speed 4 lol

My favorite combo with this deck was elementsaber spright, when elf was still around, and a bit after. Got 5th at a 25+ locals with it. It was fun as hell to play
17:19 - What possessed you to come up with THAT gem?!
The deck could do with several potential new effects
* A cost reduction effect like Fire Fist Eagle. Either make it so you can use certain effects without pitching, or even more evil allow you to use your opponents monsters, having THEM send them to the GY to avoid problematic effects.
*A retrain or errata of the Field spell that allows you to look into your opponents GY and use monsters there too.
...Potentially also the banished zones given its use these days, but again that's an EVIL effect and might be a bit too powerful.
* More Sabers and more effects that can interact with your opponent. Perhaps making the effect stronger the more of each element is put in each GY.
* Divine support, though this one is the least likely
It says a lot how insanely “DM” Era only the Divine attribute is! As Konami has only applied that and Divine-Beast typing to the Egyptian God Cards.
😤it definitely upsets me how short sighted they are as Game makers, but also…how much of a pearl-clutcher Konami is.
This deck really needs field spell searchers and more negates. Their elemental lords don’t FEEL like LORDS either. The deck needs some negates or interrupts too
I have to say I only like Grandsoil, he's so COOL looking! But as for the whole archetype....I just think that aside from some support cards, I think they just need 2 more Elementsabers for each attribute (maybe another Lv.4 & maybe another Lv.6) and have effects that active while in the gym, giving bonus effects to their respectful Lord monster.

it's still funny to me this archetype was actually meta in duel links bc it was the best shell for aleister engine in that game back several years ago
I'd love a set of elemental lord retrains designed to counter certain attributes
I always thought giving umbra mirage sangans effect was strange. In archetype there isn’t much it can search.
All of the Lords' effects are based on previously banned cards; Sangan/Witch, Harpies Feather Duster, Delinquent Duo, Raigeki, Ring of Destruction and Monster Reborn.
i was able to create an otk deck with this one years back, focusing on abusing isolde to spam them from the deck

There's even an obvious option ready for a hypothetical new support, upgraded versions of the other 5 members just like the LIGHT guy.
For tech pick I was really hoping he would have mention DAD. And how konami didn't do the normal thing and put it to 2 or 3 when this deck came out.
I love this deck but it has two problems 1.they don’t have enough spells/trap
2. They have the same hand relying effect that fire fist did
remember when Malo was limited in Duel Links only because it's a Fire monster?
Is runick really a no go for this? I’ve gone back and forth. If you leaned on the water lord to rip their hand once or twice the. Decking them out becomes a pretty doable win con.

Why are such cool decks so bad lol
Cause Konami is 50/50 on giving amazing art to decks that are either busted, or pretty pack filler
Konami should release a new wave of support that gets deep in the Elemental Lords lore to make them like the reason why Dragon Rulers ascended from their baby version into mighty elemental dragons and combine both archetypes.
