Gaynor, I would rather rewatch your videos than other artists. I love you coming in to your studio with GOOD MORNING Everyone! And just sharing. I learn more from watching how you hold your brush, how to select and mix colors, and the excitement you discover as you test the waters. And when you say, Good bye for now! I just have hope that beauty and color will return with the next visit. What a delightful time you give us. Cheers to you! Keep your free and loose style. Your talent and skill sharing stands far above the rest.
I really enjoyed your video this week. Love how you used you lest favorite (muddy) grounds in your new sketchbook first! You are just so unafraid! Such an absolute joy to watch. I have a painting in a show this month! First in ages so thanks for all your encouragement.❤️
I'm excited by these new neutrals I'm seeing, your sink & florals are so lovely! Also, thank you for inspiring me to be more playful & to have more fun with my sketchbook- I've decided it needs to be a "no judgement" zone.
Thanks for the most uplifting & glorious 25 minutes this morning. I’m riding in my car & so wish I was in my studio when I watched this😊. Watching you is like visiting a friend.
I've loved watching 'playtime' today, so inspirational. Wonderful works of art seem to appear out of thin air! I love it when a painting speaks to you... I think some of mine are in need of speech therapy!!
Always a great moment listening and seeing you ! So full of dynamism, inspiration and all that pushing me to test and grow quietly through collages, drawings and paintings. Love your semi abstracts what is a difficult approach for me . Thank you , thank you so much. Don’t change anything !
SO many paintings going on in this week! Love them all and love that they speak to you when you first enter cabin / "roam about" . Only you can make still-life not boring. 😄💌
Thursday mornings are coffee and your wonderful video. You have such a fun style and energetic personality that really inspires me. I’ve got a big trip coming and am planning to take my sketchbook. I want to experiment with putting some ground down in my little sketchbook that I carry around with me and practice drawing on a ground. Thank you for sharing with us. You are an inspiration for so many of us. Have a great week.
You are an absoloute ray of sunshine. I really like how your sink is turning out,so unusual. In fact i love all of yr art work,im always greatly inspired. Thankyou Gaynor.❤❤❤
Yes! On your contrast adjustments. Well done! Ongoing! Our lives as artists, we can never use boredom as an excuse can we? Such fun, thank Gaynor, you are such fun and keep me inspired!
The one thing that keeps me watching is seeing how you adjust. As a perfectionist in my work, it has limited or stopped me being personally creative at points. I wasn’t ever taught that with art you can change it and make it different. I always thought if I hated it well that was that! In watching your videos I am able to be freer and understand that it can change. Thank you!
It is still a thrill to me to shift work in any direction. I regret so much work that got 'binned' through frustration ! Don't get me wrong, I still get frustrated but move work aside and return when I can see a way forward. Have a great week X
Love how your not afraid to change things up and go in fully with your ideas….. it’s the most fun way to paint I think…. Thanks for another great vid! 😀….. I’m in the middle of rejigging my work space, slowly getting there bit by bit….. tbh it’s been a bit of a rough time the last month or so, with my mum going into hospital for a month, she’s home now but is still not back on her feet yet, and then I ended up in hospital myself for 8 days, due to over doing things with caring for my mum and not taking proper care of myself as I have type one diabetes so yea life can be crazy sometimes, you just can’t make it up lol but yea it’s all an experience….. now I feel ready to get back into art again! I’ve treated myself to a few new supplies and now I just can’t wait to get my space organised a bit and get stuck in to playing with them….. Thanks again for all your vids love the beach scenes in particular 👌👍💗
Composition is key, value over color, like having many at 1 time to work on, so not to get zoned in on any one area to perfect ! about the subject matter= why, what will one buy? No matter the size paper, putting a makeshift frame around instead of cut to size first. Practicing now on abstract people...wow what fun.😊 Ann, your Florida fan.
Thanks for suggesting the BBC4 programme about abstract art. I really enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by how many female artists were featured - need to watch it again 👍
I found it interesting that you put the collage down and then painted over it in your sketchbook. My habit is to paint and then collage over the top! I think I need to find other ways of doing things and not be so rigid in my approach. You help me to approach things differently Gaynor. I'm with you about not being able to leave things alone! Your beach scenes are so atmospheric and really draw me in. Have a great week Gaynor! x
Hi Gaynor,I’m a new subscriber…. I must say, what a lovely personality you have!!I could sit and listen to you all day.I’m sure you must lift the spirits of many people and share your wonderful artwork too!Cant wait to look through all of your videos and learn from you.Thank you for your wonderful channel !❤
I wasn't sure about the sink painting when you got started, but I am loving how it turned out! It reminded me of the outdoor sink, next to the outhouse, at my niece's rustic wedding venue. The sink area was so beautifully staged, that I photographed it! I may have to find that photo and do a painting of it. Thank you for another inspiring video.
Enjoyed another video!!! I love how you said there are times you don’t know what you are going to do but YOU KEEP SHOWING UP! I just love your studio!!!
You are the person Gaynor who has inspired me the most from everyone on TH-cam ( and there's a lot! ) And by the way hubby now sorting similar shelving units to yours so I can see my work properly instead of stacked on floor!! Thank you ❤❤❤❤
I look forward to you each week! So glad that there IG posts of yours to get me by :) Love the beach babies! I love all of it. And who knew that a sink painting could be so lovely! I am looking forward to your scenes from a sketchbook on your trip. Have a wonderful weekend! and a safe trip! Hey From Atlanta :) Roxanne
Hello Gaynor, hoping the weather isn’t spoiling your holiday if it is in this country! I have read everyone’s comments, and couldn’t agree more. Your work has such energy and vibrancy and you are such an inspiration to us all. You dance about from piece to piece, canvas to sketchbook, to paper and back again, and it is wonderful to watch. Thank you so much. Have a lovely week. 💐
I so enjoy your videos and your relaxed style, and you inspire me to be more free in my painting. I have the same problem, if it is even a problem, 😄of knowing when to stop. I so look forward to your videos. Thank you so much ❣
Your artwork is absolutely beautiful Gaynor shapes colours everytime you put a video out I'm excited to see the artwork hear your thoughts all inspiring thanks 😊
Really enjoying your videos and beautiful artwork and motivating instruction! I've started and have been painting regularly since this past February. I'm watching from Texas.

Love your still life works! They are amazing. And that sink, wow, looking great. You are an inspiration and it's such a joy to watch and learn from you. An arty friend once said to me "There are no mistakes, only lessons" I've never forgotten that :) Have a great week ahead. And, thanks!
Love your positive perspective - especially with mishaps that turn out to your advantage! You make everything seem so effortless and your passion for what you do is so motivating! Thank you for another great clip - love your work!
Another inspiring video! I especially love how you manage to use many different techniques and media, but still have each work shine through with your identifiable style and spirit. 😊
Hi Gaynor I love the idea of prepping sketchbook pages, so excited to see what you do on them! I look forward to your videos every week. I am only a beginner but you make me feel brave enough to give things a go. Do you think you may do any workshops/courses in the future? Thank you ❤
Did you study fine art at art school. Please can you tell us your art journey.??? I can't get over how you are always creating work. Has the utube channel inspired you to do more. I think you could sell this show to a TV network as it's so interesting.
I didn't pay attention ! I have so many greens in a green bowl ! I am away now but when I get back to the cabin, I will have a remix and let you know !
Your energy and spontaneity is so fun! I love to go back into paintings when I get the urge too. Listening to our intuition is a good thing!. A piece of art work is like a grab bag, you never know how it will turn out, but sometimes it’s more about the journey than the destination. Even if we make it worse for a time, knowing there is more paint in the tube, provides hope. 😊
