That's awesome! I learned Miyake from watching this on DVD when I played in a Taiko group while studying abroad in Japan. jealous you got to play with them!

@opeeum69 I don't know if that was joke comment pretending to be a racist bigot but if so it still wasn't funny. The Japanese are not declaring to be superior and roland only meant they are the only ones able to master it due to their devoted training and the fact that taiko drumming is rooted in japanese tradition. Most of the songs they perform have to do with a japanese folk tale therefore it is more then just drumming but symbolizing those tales while expressing feeling into the drums.
@Ptinz th kodo my friend is a martial art befor being a music ; that's why this all devotion and precision see how the play with sticks like they fight ;) Okinawa and other island are full of this kind of art marial and musical

go and watch Farnham Taiko's version which is inspired by this and is equally as good
