I loved playing these games, the play mechanic was something new to me but it offered a new challenge that tickled my strategy bone. Thank you for the detailed review and I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. I definitely recommend this collection.
It's my birthday today & one of my gifts was a pretty hefty eshop voucher, glad to see you've already shown me something to break into it with! :D Loved the review, the combat looked scarily like Hydlide until you explained it :P An easy purchase for sure.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this game didn't draw some inspiration from, say, Hydlide. But, y'know good. Also, you can actually finish the prequel in less than 6 minutes. It's one of the game's achievements!
I have missed couple of your latest videos. It feels like I missed couple of gym workouts but it feels good to be back again. Going to check out if physical version is still available.
Great review, per usual BG. Thanks for explaining the gameplay like no other review I read... And it's just in time for me to snag it on the sale price, so thanks again! Budget Gamer Channel is easily the most underrated indie channel, hands down. It gives me vibes that I used to get from The Backlog channel with Space Kappa Joe Walker who used to write for Nintendolife. I was so sad when he ended the channel, but you have successfully filled his shoes, and that's saying a lot. Keep on keeping on, BG. We love your work, brother!
I absolutely love this game. I played the original title on Mobile a few years ago and completed it twice, but never had a DS to play the sequel, so on the basis of the sequel alone this was on of my first purchases for Switch, and I had no clue about the other two included titles at that time. I don’t know what it is, but more than any other retro-inspired game, this one just nails the the experience and makes me feel like a kid.
It really does! One of the things I wanted to say in the review is that the original just felt totally inspired. Like, it really felt like an adventure, all the way through to the final boss! I never really knew what was going to happen next or what kind of enemy I would be facing. It was really a sublime little indie.
I played the demo for fairune on the 3DS and really liked it. I'm just trying to decide whether the shmup portion is worth getting the collection or if i should buy 1 and 2 on the 3DS.
Yesss I played this on android years ago. Good ol days. I enjoyed it! I really appreciate you unintentionally reminding me of the name 😆 Looking forward for more vids! (and maybe for the game I request to be featured 🤭)

This one looks pretty neat. I'm playing Elliot Quest right now. I don't think it's on sale but it's really nice. I will have to look up a guide though...
@@RiggsHB I really feel the Zelda 2 vibe. I happen to really like that game. I played it more than any other Zelda back in the mid 90s (never did finish it) so I have strong memories of it. I did not play Kid Icarus but I've always heard great things. I really hope I can get through some of these areas that I'm confused about in EQ.
I’m glad this collection is available on switch, I forgot to buy these up on the 3ds before the closure so I’m missing out on them in my overall 3ds collection though I did play the iOS versions…. At least I got the entire Legend of Dark Witch series on 3ds so I didn’t leave empty handed 👍
Yeah! I was late to the party too! I got the physical when it came out, but never got a chance to play them until now. So happy I finally got to do a little gaming for myself. :D
@@BudgetGamerChannel Getting a physical like this is always nice. In Brazil they're ridiculously overpriced, but sometimes they go on sale (aka inventory dump), so I got a couple of cool ones myself.
You're remotely interested, and I am remotely working (working from home, not slacking off). Coincidence!? ... I think not! J/K. I have no idea what I am doing right now... Who let me have the internets again?

Good luck! I hope you find a copy! :D
I really enjoyed these games. One of my earliest Indie game experiences on the Switch. Thanks for the review buddy!
You got it HB! But I have to say that I'm a bit surprised to see you as an Adventure gamer. Haha!
Where is the blood and crazy technical aspect? :D

Such high praise. I'll try to keep earning it!
On to 1,000,000 subs! XD
Something about this game just grabbed me. This is confirmation I’m grabbing it maybe even before the next sale. Dope vid!
That next sale is now.
Fascinating, never heard of these games before and these look like a blast
These videos and reviews keep getting better.
Glad to hear it. It's a lot of work, but totally worth it. :3
Squashing enemies like an OP boss ... you are living the dream my dude.
Every day im crushin' it (by "It," I mean mobs in my wake). Lol!
I love this games ever since I got the first one in the 3ds like 8 years ago, it's nice to see more people experience it

Looking for the physical and I'll bet when I find one I won't be able to afford it, thanks my friend for the vid
Certainly will be picking this one up. Thanks BG
Any time, Elliot!
Happy Gaming, my friend. :D

If you get it for the $2.99 sale, I'd say it's a steal, but Fairune 1 on GBA... that will be its own great experience.

It just may, but it is a long list. Which title were you wanting to see featured?

What a tease! I wanted to see the shmup... Guess I'm replaying 1 & 2 this week.
People hate when I show late-game footage. Lol!
Spoiler: 'You play as one of the fairies. :3

EQ is a good marriage of Kid Icarus and Zelda 2. It's a bit too ambiguous at times concerning where to go but it's still a pretty fun game.
Oh! I covered that one a while back. It was a great action platformer, but yeah... there are some sticky spots for sure. Haha! Good luck!
@@BudgetGamerChannel thanks! I'll need it. Actually I'm going to watch your review again and see if I can get any tips...

I was 0% expecting you to do a review on this pack I am not getting it because I already have the first 2 games on 3DS.
Well, the 1st 2 are where it is at anyway, and I think the GBA is the best place for them, to be totally honest.
Its Perfect for game boy but the screen is too small and the best way to play fairune is on the 3DS in my opinion.
I was really curious about this one thanks 😊
You're welcome. (o. o =)
Ooo cool! Very Y's like. Awesome review dude!
Oh! It totally is like the older Y's games. Wish I had made the connection earlier.

Of course! :3
I admit this looks better than I expected . The graphics are pleasant!
It is cool that each game has it's own era of art. :3
I like this collection.
Good games.
I wish I had known of this when I got Anodine.
Oh! Anodine was fun. Weird, but fun.
oh mannnn I just went and bought it... darn your good review...
just kidding. I'm glad I did. I can't wait to get home from work and check it out. :)
Hahaha! I apologize for nothing! Bwwwaaaahahahaahha!
I love these games o/

Is it just me or does this game resemble Hydlide? (Although it looks like it plays better)

Yaaasss!
Monthly Petition for Toree 3D, just one dollar
Lololol! Ok ok! I will download it tonight. XD
@@BudgetGamerChannel Yes! Thank you so much! You'll like it if you played N64 and PSX platformers, let's go!
😃
isnt this basically hydlide?
reminiscent of Zelda and Tower of Druaga
Another win!
it reminds me the Thor game on Dos
And thanks so much for reviewing this collection when it’s in such a deep sale ( around $2!). 🤟🤟🤟
You're so totally welcome. 😁
I'm glad I was able to get the review out in time for the sale.
