- The Gardens Between is a beautiful game where you don't control the characters, you control time! A sweet story about a relationship between friends, The Gardens between takes you on a 3-hour tour of 19 significant events in their lives, but why? And what makes these particular events so meaningful, in this abstract and surrealistic dreamscape? As impressive as it is, be aware that the power to control time doesn't mean that you can speed anything up.

Lovely little game this one, big fan of it, but I'm a narrative fan for sure

I really loved this game when I played it a couple years ago. It was just exactly what I needed at the time, I was recovering from serious medical issues, didn't have much function in my hands, so the simple interaction was preferable. The visuals and music really stand out, and the story conclusion was emotional for me.
There are a few games like that for me as well.
@@BudgetGamerChannel I'm currently playing Tiny Lands a puzzle game that I got on sale. I get a similar vibe to The Gardens Between with the music. And love how simple the premise is, but can be challenging while relaxing at the same time.
Hmmm... I may have to check it out.

I loved this game. I didn't even notice the performance issues you mentioned. But for sure I like slow paced puzzle games so I was the public for this game. I think I'm also of the right age because I loved all the references of the 70-80s that remembered me my youth.
It may be because my Switcj is LOADED with games. 😅
May be dragging down my processor speeds.

I got the game on sale a while ago. While I'm interested in seeing how the story plays out, it's pace is too slow for my liking so I play a few stages before playing something else, then return to it like 2 months later to repeat the cycle. I'll hopefully finish it before the year is over. I still need to get back to Night in the Woods

I thought they mixed up the puzzles well in this game, they do something in the telescope stage that took me a while to figure out. They also mixed it up a bit in the waterfalls stage where you can see the girls jacket on the other side(if i recall correctly). Really great little puzzle game, and you also get a hint of where the narrative of the story is going because you get little cutscenes of them doing something together after you've completed a certain number of stages.
They did throw in some changes to the scheme, which was great. Overall though, this game was way more of an experience than a challenge. 🤣😅

I remember when this came out. I still don't feel like this one is exactly for me. But I do appreciate the nice graphics and I love time travel. I just wish I could do it in real life. 😏

Looks interesting, but the constant rotation seems like it would make me dizzy
It’s abstract and I love the period it sets in, the payoff wasn’t that satisfying.
I’m Glad I experienced it but not gonna be a strong recommendation even if I indulge in puzzlers.
