I have watched a lot of videos on commonplace books and I think your approach is the closest to the true spirit of this time-honored practice that I have seen. Plus I love Field Notes 😊. And you almost have me convinced that a multi pen is a great tool for journaling.
Thank you so much! That's such a high compliment 🤎🥺 I really appreciate it! I love Field Notes, too, so much craft and care put into their products! The multi pen is definitely a handy tool for journaling!
yesss !! i love tagging my commonplace by theme much more than content type. makes more sense to me because usually when I'm looking for something anyways I'm looking for it based on theme more so than "oh I'm looking for a quote". loved planning while hearing about your 2024 set up, dozy 💜
Thank you so much! It was really fun to try out a thematic key 🤎 I have reverted back to my other one but it was a nice way to freshen up commonplacing!
Wow! That’s such a good idea with the clear pocket on the pencil board & having the gloomies cards in it. ☺️ And there’s so many of those gloomies I’ve not seen before (I think), I know I haven’t seen the one which talks about memory & I’d love to have that one too. I have some gloomies as stickers (or I’m printing them mostly on regular paper since my printer doesn’t seem to like sticker paper all the time), so maybe I could try to print the gloomies on thicker paper instead so they’ll last for longer ☺️
Okay now it’s my last comment 😅😂🙈 But the way you’ve decided to do your dot sticker key this time sounds really interesting & exciting! I’m trying to revisit my key now before writing it down in a new insert I got for my planner but I haven’t done it yet since it doesn’t feel like I’m 100% sure on whether or not I want to keep some of the old key, or want to try something different. But maybe I should just tell myself that it’s okay to change my mind down the line if the current one doesn’t work & jot down the themes I have at this moment in time?
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments! It was definitely fun to experiment with a thematic key (I've switched back to my other one 🫣)! It helps freshen things up 🤎
And also - that sticker release book looks so nice! Maybe I’ll get one of those in the future because I don’t have any clue on where particular stickers I’ve printed are atm since they’re all in a pile in clear zip pockets I got for my personal ring planner when I used that size. Now I’ve transferred to an A6 one though so the pockets doesn’t fit there. 🙈
hi dozy ghoul! this was incredibly inspiring and comforting to see a system with spreads that would actually be of use to make my life easier and more comfortable. I also struggle with meals (blanking on what to eat and getting overwhelmed when having to choose what to make) so I definitely try to make a page for that in my next book. your routines page too, I want to create that for myself and include the little note you’ve written to remind yourself. this year it’s been quite difficult trying to learn how to accommodate myself. seeing your planner and journals and others as well help me to feel less alone as I don’t normally share these thoughts or feelings. thank you for sharing your system, I feel really excited (instead of overwhelmed) to setup a planner and commonplace book for next year. 🫶🏼 - krissy ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
Aww, thank you so much, Krissy! 🤎 Your kind words mean a lot. I'm so glad something from my system could help you in yours, and I really hope it works for you! Our journals and planners are meant to work for us, not the other way around 🤎🌟
i also have a list of meal and snack options! glad to see someone else does that. i struggle w/ food because of autism and late diagnosed celiac disease combined so sometimes figuring out what to eat is the end of the world for me 🙃🫠
I'm so sorry to hear that! Last year, I got tested for possibly having a gluten intolerance, and when I realised how difficult it is to avoid gluten, my respect for those who suffer from celiac sky rocketed! Sending you all the love 🤎
@@dozyghoul i appreciate that, it is truly bananas (especially when you find out as an adult and have to change your entire diet). good luck with your own tummy troubles though 💛

That is so smart making a list of foods that you like eating and know how to make. I struggle with the same thing. Also very esthetic!
Thank you so much! It really is useful and nice to have it there as a safety mechanism 🤎
your voice is very relaxing 💗 thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! 🫶🏽
I really love the simplicity of your journal. I feel like it should be this way.
Thank you Debbie! It most definitely is simple since I get overwhelmed really easily 🤎
I’ve been waiting for this video to come
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy it 🤎

I love the gloomies so much so I definitely want to make use of them! That does sound like it would work! Perhaps try printing them on card stock? 🤎
I use a multi-pen (4-colour) to designate certain things in my planner, but I never thought to do it with my common planner!
The multi pen is so handy! 🤎🤭

It helps so much! It also means I don't over buy stickers because if there's no room in the book then there's no room for it in my life!! 🤎
