Of all the common place YT videos I’ve watched so far because “I want to get it right”. Your two videos have been my favorite. You show us examples, you give us great tips and I Love the mind map!! Thank you 😊
I enjoyed your video. I love listening to people explain their thoughts and process on common-placing. I currently have a digital commonplace because I am able to refer back to the information easier than writing the information in books. I've personally had issues with writing information down and either forgetting I've written it, or forgotten which book it was in when I actually needed it outside my home. If it's digital, I can access it anywhere I am. There have been some instances where I've written something down, then go into my digital commonplace and record it for long-term use; which allows me to use the notebooks and planners I love. Again, I enjoyed your video and thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad digital has worked for you! It's the opposite for me where I find when it's not tangible, I forget! But that's the beauty of it all. Different things work for different people 🩶
I started with Field Notes & colored stickers too! 😆 We started our commonplace books around the same time, but I stopped when I moved. I love seeing your current - especially since I love Midori so much! I’ve been watching some other videos on them recently, but I especially loved your explanation. Thanks for posting! 🖤
Thank you again. Really enjoyed this as always. I’m at the stage of still trying to work out what is the best way for me to Commonplace. Not there yet but I’m finding it fun 😊
Commonplace books are a long historical practice more about recording information! At the end of the day, yeah, it can be just a notebook, but there's history to it

Oh and I was hoping you were going to talk about your new book. Looks like you graduated to a thicker book. Midori A6?
Thank you for watching! I'm in rings now! But yes that was a midori a6 🫶🏽
amazing tips ☺☺☺
Thank you so much for watching! 🩶
Can My commonplace also be like My diary? Xd like "hey I felt something about this topic" like a more subjective content.
Of course! That's why I added an index dot for musings and commentary! I think it's important to add your own thoughts too 🩶
So it's just keeping a notebook? I don't understand why everybody has started to call it common placing?
