Inhabit My Praise - Choral

- The title of “Inhabit My Praise” is taken loosely from a passage in Psalms 22.3, which is a psalm attributed to David. He’s hit some rough times and questions: “My God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far away from me?” But then he gets to v. 3: “But You are holy…” Perhaps you’ve also hit a rough spot… I’d urge you to follow the principle that David followed: question Him about that place you’re in right now - but move into worship as well.
This is an SAB octavo, from the debut CD of the same name. Many years ago, someone said that this song went from (mellow) Maranatha-type music to Kirk Franklin - and that still seems accurate. It begins with gentle worship and ends with powerful praise! Your choirs and/or congregations will be blessed! I’ve sang this with all sorts of choirs in many situations. I had not planned to release this on this date, but it seems fitting now. This was the very first choral song recorded off the very first CD. My mother was an extraordinary woman who, as a widowed mother of five, sacrificed in order that I might have piano lessons. She was born, raised, and lived her entire life in Kansas, and we were both in awe when I told her of the email I received from someone in Jakarta, Indonesia, who was blessed by the CD. Today is her birthday. She’s been gone five years now, and we miss her. Happy Birthday, Mom! - เพลง

I’d still love to have access here to “All Along the Way.” So, the first time I heard it, I was in the middle of the busiest time in my entire life. I have photos of me with a phone in each ear at that time. I opened my eyes one morning, to the radio alarm waking me up. My eyes filled with tears at the thought pf getting out of the bed to another uphill day. Your song came on KHCB and I just cried and praised the LORD, and smiled as I got up. Inlet everyone I know hear that song. I dragged a friend into my van, the only quiet place we could find, and let her read the words while listening to it. That friend died in a car accident last year, so you can imagine how special that memory is now for me. Since that time I spoke of, so long ago, my life has turned upside down with grief at the loss of my highschool sweetheart hisband, to sins that led him to prison. I think of this song so much more deeply now than even that tiresome first day I heard it. I just need to be able to access it to share with those who suffer the pain I’ve had. It would mean so much.
