This is the hammer I use.....I've had it since early 2000s.....still good as new.

This will be my reward to myself once I finish my apprenticeship. I've got a basic rubber looking 20oz hammer that gets things done but once I'm qualified I want a hammer that says so and this will be it. Much the same as these other commenters, I hope it will last long enough to be an heirloom of sorts that I can carry throughout my career and then put on display when I pack it in.

Great hammer! I have several different types and all are quality. However the hammers with rubber grips I have didn’t hold up in sunlight. Leather cared for properly seems to last a long. Not cared gets years of use still. Thanks for the video.

What kind of product do you put on the leather?
I do not have a specific cleaner or treatment. Do a little research on Google and treat the hammer once in the Spring and once again in September and you should be good to go. If the Hammer gets really dirty or muddy then you will need to clean and treat more often.
