Thanks for your review. I've been looking for a replacement for my busted 3Ah pack and the performance of the various "6Ah" knockoffs was probably going to be closer to 3-4Ah - which is what you confirmed. Like you mentioned, I'm probably going to order one because not all 40v tools need the same capacity. I bought a factory blemished Ryobi 6Ah and that thing is great for the blower as it uses a lot of power. For the string trimmer, the factory 3Ah ran long enough to edge and trim my entire yard, and it was just the right weight. I didn't want to buy another 6Ah to replace my 3Ah as that would be too heavy in the trimmer.
I appreciate that and thanks for taking the time to comment. For the dollar investment, the batteries get the short projects done and ultimately that's what's needed.
😅
WoW, Im Glad I Found Your Channel.
You know how to lay out the facts I'm looking for.
Stay Encouraged
I have the simple approach of every time I buy one of the 40v tools I get the kit with battery included. It's usually 20 to 30 more than the bare tool buy I get the better battery for the money. Buying single batteries you might as well buy a random tool with it. It'll cost about the same.
June 1, 2024: A RYOBI 40 volt, 4 amp hour battery costs $180 vs a knockoff 40 volt, 6 amp hour battery that costs $60 with similar run times. Perhaps the biggest Thief is RYOBI and how they stick it to their Consumers?
Hey mate. I can buy genuine 6ah 40v ryobi at the fleamarket for $60 a piece, open box though.
Can't pass them up at that price. Nice! Thanks for watching.
Great video you just earned a follower
Im curious whst the runtime in the blower was wity the 4ah? Also was the blower set at the hightest speed?
No, the blower was not operated on the high setting. Per my real world experience the 4ah Ryobi battery operates for about 20 - 25 minutes. Thanks for watching.
If you pay 1/4 the price expect half the capacity. An example of you get what you pay for.
Yes the batteries hurt to buy. However given the relative price of batteries at around $1 per watt hour I don’t think the price is outrageous. A 6ah 40v has about 216 watts so about 219 isn’t bad. Batteries are just expensive in general.
I would personally never buy any knock off lithium batteries. There are so much to go wrong and so much potential for a fire. I’ll just pay extra for the branded version and sleep better at night.
Link to this battery?
I think you should let your senator or elected governing representative know what you think (this is on you). We need just laws. WHY NOT?
The 40v batteries are mostly junk. Some do not charge. Some do not work on all tools. Rodney
Ryobi is junk too. You will be very lucky if you can reach 50 charge/discharge cycle. My four batteries are dead after 3 years. I used it for a trimmer and a mower, so only few times per year.
I'm amazed ppl buy these knockoffs. You get what you pay for 99 percent of the time.
You have Mixed view of those items
They do cuz of greedy corporations like ryobi charging outrageous prices.
Luv the tools, batteries are absolute complete crap, why is it possible for a battery on the charger get to weak to charge ? Fin stupid
