I haven’t watched it yet but I appreciate you doing these videos. You give me an idea of what these kids can do Absolutely crazy the generation that’s coming
@Tommy Trailers because he's from Arizona has stated a number of times his commitment to grow hockey in the desert, and his dream to inspire kids & he has said there's no better way than to do that then playing in that market, Plus his critism of him & his teammates by the canadian media. Plus he signed a contract that takes him to Free-agency hardly a sign of commitment to the leafs. If he was it would of been a 7-8yr deal not a short deal that takes him to Free-agency He may stay in Toronto but he will eventually be in Arizona I don't think that's outlandish to think that. & for the record I have no dog in the fight.
@@trevormcgraw8744 Lol how can you know that already? The kid has not played one NHL game yet. And he did beat out McDavid in his rookie season so there is that at least. Which is not a small thing by any means.
I can’t believe the Habs r going to get this kid this kid is mcdavid good and with the young guys Montreal already have wow they are going to be very good and I’m a leafs fan who’s going to enjoy the rivalry even more now
Exactly the kind of guy I saw. Probably a better pass distributers without the big one-timer!! Don’t have crazy stick handling but sees the ice really well also to set up teammates!! Don’t have crazy speed too. Everything could change in the nhl also!!
The future is looking brighter than ever. We already know Suzuki, Caufield and Romanov are going to be stars for a long time. Now this kid who has the potential to be as good as them, perhaps even better, is coming. I'm trying to compare the Canadiens of 3-4 years from now to past seasons. I go back to the years we won Stanley Cups. This is how you build a team in 2022. With point producing forwards. Look at all the teams who are winning cups. They have superstar forwards. Goaltenders can be stars too, but you have to let the selection go naturally through internal competition. With all due respect to Price who has been one of the best goaltenders in NHL history, you simply can't build your team around a player that can't play 82 games in today's NHL.
@@Dog_will_hunt Yep, I guess I was wrong, but it's still better than searching for comments like mine to add nothing except trying antagonize people on TH-cam. Cheers.
There's a reason 3 teams passed on Wright. Overhyped as fuck because of his 15yo season. If we went strictly with his draft season, he'd have been lucky to crack the top 10.
He's got a hell of a shot, no question, but he needs to get that foot speed up or he will get out hustled at a pri level. Too much stationary feet. Watch Connor, or Matthews or Marner, or Ovy...their feet are always moving. Hell, watch Pavel Bure from 30 years ago.
But I don't see him as being like those players you mentioned. I don't think Wright's lack of speed is going to hurt him at the next level because of that terrific shot. I see him being possibly an elite scorer like Mike Bossy are Brett Hull (who were not fast either) because of that awesome shot. He's going to change the fate of whatever franchise drafts him in my opinion.
@@ralphjenkins6392 so you see him like 2 players from 40 years ago who were slow THEN and would stand zero chance of keeping up with guys today...well done sir, you played yourself

The playerbase today is just different. They train their whole lives, with professional training coaches, skilla coaches, sports psychologists etc... @@truthseekercanada I think you kind of made my point. Wright has certainly had some of the best resources available to him with the hype surrounding him in recent years. I thought he was going to Buffalo or Arizona so I felt kind of bad for him. But if the season keeps going like this he’ll end up with the hawks or habs. Two fairly deep teams that could have a shot at playoff contention in the coming years.
@HOCKEY HELL YA good take. Never know could happen. I'm just saying that's the most likely case of matthews going home to the desert, if yotes draft Wright and he lives up to expectations
