    I've used impact drivers on thread taps, M16 mostly, helps break chips up.
    Useful set, ideal for on site or fabrication work.

    Hey Kim! Speed and force are your enemy when drilling & tapping. Steel will harden as it gets hot. A lubricated slow speed drill will always get the job done faster in the end and the tap job will be much easier too. Everything will stay sharper longer. ✌️

    What do you think the life of the bits will be?
    Can you get replacements at reasonable prices and time scale? Finally how good is the thread it cuts?
    I think this is more for site work than workshop but impressed so far.

    • @CalamityKim1
      @CalamityKim1  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I couldn’t quite comment on that yet but a friend of mine has them as well. He said they last for a long time. I think he only ever had one break and that was a small one. Judging by how well the m16 faired to that hard steel plate I tried to tap there was literally no signs of damage so I can’t imagine they break easily or wear easily but over time I’m sure they do a bit.
      You can order everything individually. They do a full set of spares and they warranty everything (I think they said) but obviously if it’s been abused maybe not so.
      Hope that all makes sense.
