    Putting an innocent man behind bars is very unfair but many things don’t add up. Very suspicious behavior - it’s been decades and People are forgetting - he sold his wife’s car while they were looking for her, he was caught at the Mexico border with his hair dyed blonde and carrying his brother’s license and many other things.

      He was not caught at the Mexico border. He was arrested near a golf course in La Jolla, north of San Diego in the area where he was born and raised.

      @@JewandGreek , it was near the border. There is another report where he explained that the border was a coincidence. He was using his brother’s ID to get a discount at the golf club and blonde hair was a disguise to avoid the press. He had 15k cash and some viagra. Of course having viagra doesn’t mean he killed but the other things don’t add up. Besides his brother’s ID, he has few other IDs. Let’s see what innocent project has since they are looking for a retrial. Being despicable doesn’t mean he killed but there are too many coincidences.

      In a nationally televised interview, while she was still considered missing, he referred to her in the past tense - that's pretty weird. My gut says he's absolutely, positively guilty but it's a werid case - they have zero physical evidence - nothing. You look at the OJ case and they actually had considerable physical evidence - the victim's blood in his car, video of his vehicle leaving the scene, the gloves fell off because they were kinda tight (doh), he runs, he tells Cowling he's suicidal, etc....and the guy walks. This guy/weirdo is guilty, almost certainly, but I don't think it's provable in a court of law. Like I said, this is a weird one. They have no crime scene, no murder weapon, can't even prove absolutely he was the last person to see his wife....etc. He sure as hell looks guilty to me based upon a lot of circumstantial evidence. But can it be proven beyond a reasonable doubt enough to throw the guy in prison for life? That's an entirely different thing that most of the geniuses in this comments section fail to understand. And, again, bizarrely I strongly feel the guy is guilty. The reality is that some people get away with murder - it sucks, but it happens. It may end up happening in this case for a lack of hard evidence. The world will keep spinning, and, social media will have more crap to argue about for another 20 years.

      Would not be the first person to refer to a spouse or significant other as being deceased while in an effort to cheat. Not the best argument I know but historically true. It is the least likely to not be believed by the new girlfriend. Unfortunate the circumstances developed the way they did. And yes I can see the coincidence making it look suspicious. But that alone doesn't close the door on the case. People have been cheating for centuries. As a woman ask yourself this. If you met a man. Would you hook up if he said he was in a bad relationship but still married with an expectant child, going through a divorce with an expectant child or moving on from the death of a loved spouse? I personally don't condone the cheating but that is a long way off from being a murderer.

    • @tcudahey9550
      @tcudahey9550 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +23

      Agreed. Stranger on stranger murders aren’t covered up to this degree; weighing the body down with cement and going out into a large body of water to dispose of and conceal the body. That’s too risky, he could be caught with the dead body or he could drown at sea. Or perhaps run into a police boat while attempting to dump the body.
      With stranger on stranger murders, the killer usually just leaves the body where it is and boogies out of there as fast as they can. The stranger killer knows that the body cannot be linked to him via other people because he doesn’t know the victim. When a killer knows his victim, he goes to great lengths to make sure that the body isn’t found.

If anyone still thinks hes innocent please listen to the calls he made to his mistress when the entire city was looking for his wife. Their was no guilt, no care in his voice. So many things point to his guilt: he told a neighbor he went golfing but told everyone else he took his boat out on the water ( the same area where the bodies washed up months later) Scott went to the bay several times to look at where the police were canvassing the bay in boats looking for Laci but Scott never talked to any of the police while there...just watched. He told Amber he lost his wife Dec 9th, same day he bought the boat that no one knew he bought. He sold Lacy's car...was looking to sell their home. Used the babies room as office storage. Ordered the "nasty channels" on cable. Was talking to Amber while at the vigil for Lacy. When he was arrested. He had 15,000 dollars in the car, camping cooking products, knives, several credit cards, his brothers ID, 5 cell phones.. several changes of clothes, shoes. He dyed his hair and goatee. He also spoke in interviews of Lacy in the past tense. Was...vs is. A pair of pliers in the boat w/a strand of Laci's hair wrapped in them.

The news said he went fishing and where, there was a bridge with construction going on with plastic on stuff. She washed up with plastic off that bridge. Who would say oh I was fishing, after he dumped her there? She was seen talking to the burglars. Her dog was loose, neighbor put back in yard. Cadaver dogs were ruled not valid. They traced her to driveway, but wait he put her in truck in garage? He took her to the marina, 900 berths in broad daylight, she's wrapped up in a small boat dead. and nobody saw this? Cadaver dogs sniffed her on the dock.... but wait she was in the boat? People that saw her got ignored. Cops had a tip but wouldn't check it out because it was muddy and they'd have to walk in mud. She didn't know about boat, but across from warehouse she used bathroom and that woman says she did. The said environmental law firm's conclusion that Scott Peterson didn't commit the crimes he was convicted of is based on the fact that two of its attornies spent three days in his immediate presence interviewing/deposing him. It is a conclusion predicated upon much more than news reports and speculation.
      Additionally, law firms that traditionally practice outside of the scope of law related to a defendant's charges are customarily chosen to perform the deposition to avoid conflicts of interest. Ergo, an environmental law firm, was hired for Scott Peterson's deposition. And to know much about the law means understanding that no attorney has ever graduated from law school as a criminal law attorney, a divorce attorney, an immigration attorney, a real estate attorney, an environmental attorney, etc. The law is the law, and attornies are free to practice any facet of the law they wish to.
      So, the statement, "Oh gee, well, if an environmental law firm decided he's innocent, then he must be," is rooted in a misunderstanding of American jurisprudence, not to mention disordered hubris.

    He is the only murderer that I know of that didn't leave any physical evidence for his first murder. What did Laci die of? Where is the murder weapon? Wasn't there another woman who was murdered and was also pregnant in the area? It amazes me that he was found guilty but Casey Anthony is free.

    It is incredible how many of these court cases involve absolutely no evidence, and yet citizens get convicted and sent to prison for life. This story occurs so often and when you review the court case it is unbelievable that a jury would send someone to prison with maybe one eyewitness account or one police account???

    This guy never once acted like the love of his life and his son were taken from him. Yeah, ok, everything they had was circumstantial. But, WOW, it was all a product of a man who doesn't have an honest bone in his body. Without any solid evidence, he really did get away with murder - but, the fact that he was a terrible liar - he needs to stay in prison. According to the evidence, the break-in at the neighbors occurred 2 days AFTER Lacy went missing. The cherry on top is Scott disguising himself, having his brother's ID and $10k on him as he headed to the Mexican border ON THE DAY Lacy's body was ID'd.

    Scott's expression at 7:36 - 7:38 is saying all I need to know. Look into his eyes for those few seconds. His expression is deadly and sends shivers down my spine. He's sending a message to Diane Sawyer, and it's scary. Watch his body language at 7:14 when he says he told his wife about his affair. He closes his eyes and when he adds "in, um, early December" he closes them again. That's a sign of someone feeling discomfort with the topic being discussed and trying to block it out. His mouth is turning downward, showing displeasure. He's all of a sudden doing a lot with his mouth and it's telling me that what he's saying is a lie, but even more than that, this was probably the very moment things got out of hand and he's seeing it all play out in his mind as he speaks, which is making him uncomfortable. He is absolutely, 100% guilty. What I find really bizarre is that he'd only been seeing Amber for three weeks and that was enough time for him to decide to become a killer and take not only his beautiful wife's life, but his first child's as well. That's the most exciting time in a lot of people's lives; the birth of their first child. I don't understand why he didn't just get a divorce if he was unhappy. Did he really think he'd get away with it? That's the deluded confidence of a psychopath. Jon Buehler stated that Scott had "incredible emotional control. One of the best I've ever seen in my life". He also said Scott was aloof, which means he made no connections on a human level. He only affected emotion when it was useful to him, such as when telling Amber it was his first holiday without his wife (who was still alive at the time, I believe). This is all sociopathic behavior. I would be shocked if there is to be any evidence that could prove to me that he is not guilty of these horrific crimes.

    Ok, so she "interrupts" burglars outside. Explain the inside of the house then. The perfectly made bed except the body imprint down at the end. Droplets of blood on the comforter. There is a "cleanup" job inside: dirty rags on top of the wash, the mop bucket, he took off his fishing clothes to wash but didn't do any other laundry, he showered and THEN he decided she was missing. The loose dog with a muddy leash supports that she was either out on a walk or Scott intentionally did that. She was outspoken, it seems plausible she could have tried to stop a burglary and they threw her in the van and drove off. No one saw that or heard that though? There are just too many "maybes". And her dirty clothes wadded up in her clean clothes drawers? Her "missing" jewelry wasn't actually missing and she wasn't found wearing what Scott said she'd been wearing. Where were her shoes? Did they burn in the van? Why wouldn't they burn Laci in the van or at least the clothes she was wearing? Why would they have burned the van and left it somewhere it was easily found but throw her in the water, weighted down in the clothes she was killed in? Scott made his own anchors. He made homemade anchors instead of buying new and tried and true anchors. Why? If he bought them then they would become traceable- he could be seen on camera buying them or a receipt could be found. But by making them he can keep secret how many anchors are in existence. One was found that he apparently didn't need, the anchors had at some point scraped the side of his boat so there were remnants of cement on the inside of his boat. If I remember correctly though, the anchor the police had from the warehouse was in tact and nothing was scraped off so this indicated there had been more. Scott could not provide more though. The theory that he had weighted down her body with the homemade anchors was formed. When Laci's body was found, it was headless and legless, supporting the theory that she had been weighed down. Scott is whoever he wants to be. He can turn it on and off at will. Investigators heard him through tapped lines fake crying on one call and then be completely dry on the next call. He could muster a tear or two in front of people but he never cried. He never showed us any actual emotions, except when his property was being disrespected (Laci's car got dinged during a search and he snapped at them). And sure, just because you're a sociopath doesn't make you a murderer, but this man had been given every chance to tell the truth or just say anything and he didn't. His actions caused serious suspicion in most of us- he was not acting right. Your wife is missing and the police and investigators should be your best friends, not your enemies. Of course they're going to look into those closest to the victim and he should have known that and been more than willing to give them any and everything they wanted. Scott portrayed this as the police harassing him though and his reason for not helping was because it was incriminating him. Total strangers were seemingly more distraught. It was like Scott knew he didn't need to do certain things because they'd be a waste of time, a dead end in finding Laci. He left posters and buttons in his truck instead of distributing them for example. He also, on so many occasions, referred to her in the past tense. Why the past tense? Was he really so skeptical she would ever be found alive that he had given up all hope that fast? Or did he know deep down that she would probably never be found and they couldn't sentence him without the bodies.
