Y en cuanto a la capacidad de emocionar a las personas que posee Dimash, les contaré una anécdota.
Yo, escritora, trabajo en una fundación dedicada a poetas. Dos poetas, una doctora en Musicología, un arquitecto, un ingeniero de sonido y una periodista integramos el staff.
Todas las mañanas nos reunimos a tomar un café mientras hablamos de planes y proyectos y siempre terminamos leyendo poemas y escuchando música. Un día puse SOS y el final fue un abrazo colectivo y lágrimas en todos los ojos.
Desde entonces es hábito iniciar el día de trabajo con Dimash.
El final me provocó lo mismo que a ti. Es una melodía hermosa y el cierre con ese instrumento es exquisito

He estado muy pendiente de lo que ocurre en Kazajstan y he sufrido por todo lo que allí ha pasado con tantas personas y por Dimash y su familia, que ha tenido que ser muy duro pasar por cosas tan tristes!!! Por otro lado me hubiera encantado haber podido ir a Dubai a ver a Dimash a su restaurante para haber podido conversar con él aunque sólo fuera un poquito y haberle dado un abrazo pero económicamente me resulta imposible, está muy lejos de España y sobre todo Dubai es una ciudad muy cara. En los conciertos evidentemente no se puede hablar con el cantante y una ha de conformarse con escucharle y verle a muchos metros de distancia pero que le vamos a hacer!!! Thank you for reacting to this. I wish people will take a few minutes to sit and see the message of this song and how it can be applied to their own lives. When I first heard this song, the first thing that came to my mind is the importance of the present. Our days should be utilized to the max so that when we get old and look back into the past, we will not shed tears of regrets. In an interview years back, Dimash said that when it is time for him to go down the stage and will just be sitting in the audience, may those who recognize him wil not say that he performed bad when he was the one performing on the stage.
Thank you so much for this moving reaction. To me, this is Dimash's most powerful song (in the same vein as Qairan Elim, the song with the piano on fire you mentioned, and even if my absolute favorite one is Know). The lyrics, the instrumentation, the images of this song are breathtaking and its power is out of this world, as the essence of art, of music, of life. Dimash is an immense artist, because, beyond his insane vocal ability, he is able to directly target the soul.

The composer, Renat Gaisin, calls “Omir Oter” (Life is Short) an ode to life. It’s an ode to life of any person who at least once thought about the meaning of their existence.
The video was made at the request of Khabar Agency. The filming took place at the Astana Opera Theater. The youngest of the actors is just 2 years old. As a result, the idea to make a gift to Dimash fans in honour of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan has become real.
The story of creation and the message of “Omir Oter” video was revealed by its director Anna Oboyanskaya.
From the first seconds, a viewer sees a large solemn theatre hall. It is empty and only rarely people of different age and sex appear in it as a symbol of the fact that man enters this life and leaves it alone.
What unites all the people in the hall is “Him”, the image of a man who is timeless. Dimash is a hero who celebrates life and lets the past and future of an entire nation pass through him.
The future in this case is behind him in the form of a futuristic shining portal. Throughout the video, Dimash revolves between the ascetic, minimalistic black and white portal (the unknown future) and the colorful hall (the bright present and the rich past).
The nation’s legendary past is brought to life by prominent historical figures like Genghis Khan. They are just as inspired as the generation of their coevals to listen to their descendant standing on the stage in front of them.
“The video symbolically shows people of different eras, ages, genders, classes. These are both legendary personalities, who are long gone, but they left behind a great legacy, and simple young residents of modern Kazakhstan, who have yet to go their way and reach new heights,” Anna Oboyanskaya says.
The turning point of the video is an old man whose face is not immediately visible. He walks through the empty hall, his every movement reads nostalgia, as if he was here once. At the key moment, the viewer realises that this is Dimash, but in old age.
A grown-up man with a lifetime of experience and a young man full of energy and aspirations are one and the same. The old man in the audience looks at his young self on stage, and his whole life flashes before his eyes. This moment epitomises the artist’s quote that one day he will also sit in the audience as a mere spectator, and he should not be ashamed of his life’s journey.
The final frame of the video brings the audience back to the atmosphere of the theatrical hall, which begins to come to life, and more and more people appear in it. At the same time, the Artist himself is walking to his audience here and now.
And this journey does not end…
