    He's right there is hardly any good info on a lot of monitor lizards, you should tell this guy to write a book about everything he knows it would be very very helpful

    • @bluemystic7501
      @bluemystic7501 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He doesn't seem like he knows all that much other than how to not get bit.

    • @thefreakshowisback9496
      @thefreakshowisback9496 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      bluemystic7501 you're kidding right? Do you have any idea who this guy is? He knows A LOT about animals, guy is really smart when it comes to stuff like this

      bluemystic7501 that's why I said he should write a book haha

    • @bluemystic7501
      @bluemystic7501 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He could probably write a pamphlet, lol. Seriously though, he didn't really talk about much at all. What does he feed them? How long has he had them? How long do they live? Where did he get them? Where are they found? Are they rare, common, endangered? etc I liked his Rolex though.

      Kenzie Mcneale as tempting as it is don’t do it! (Yet!)
      The world needs as many teachers with a passion for animals as possible!

    • @PoeticMisfortune
      @PoeticMisfortune 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Or maybe you could combine your teaching major and your love for animals? Imagine becoming a herpetologist and teaching more generations of people to care for and help reptiles. You could rescue in whatever location you end up living and using those animals as part of your lesson plans and inspiration for the people you'd teach. Could be the best of both worlds, if you are passionate about both.

      He was breaking up a fight between two croc monitors, it's a serious risk to put yourself in the biting range of these animals when they're jacked up in that mindset. I bet he would step in again if there were another fight because he did it out of the interest of the animals health first and put his safety second to that.

    this amazes me because he does the exact same thing with his animal as i do mine ... now mind you i dont have a crocodile moniter lol i have a tiny turtle, a long-tailed grass lizard, and a house gecko, but when i first got these little guys a watched them and learned there habits ... they all hid from me at first ... they saw me cleaning their tank, tending to their plants, and putting in food ... now my grass lizard chases my hand to climb it and my painted turtle sits and observes me as i do it ... btw painted turtles are by far the most curious turtle ive ever cared for and i have to recommend them to any beginner turtle keeper ... they are relatively small and far easier to care for than most others ... and long-tailed grass lizards the same for lizards ... house geckos pretty jumpy but im working with mine and in time they will ease up ... just a lil education in the comment from a Kenan Army soldier

So which specie do you suggest for small pond of turtle or tortoise? Also do you export your reptiles out of America?Also do you give tours to your place. Just wanted to see slinky and buttercups!!

    umm mister kenan i was wondering if you could help my friend. he has a indian star tortoise egg, and he has had it for about 3 weeks, when we torched it, the yolk was clearly visible, but there was no heart or vein visible, should we be worried? also what temperature should we keep it in? we cannot bury them as snakes might eat them, so he is keeping it in a pot, what do we do?

    I’m sure you wont see/respond to this post, but here it goes:
    I’ve been following the condition of ‘Sudan’ the rhino and am crushed that there are only two beings left of the species (females) and have a question about your opinion....
    Why do we have sperm banks for male humans AND also seed storage for plants and trees, but we don’t have sperm banks set up for animals that are on “watch lists” or endangered lists?

    • @HorsesIC
      @HorsesIC 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it's extremely difficult to get semen from a wild animal. You have to train them to mount a dummy, and that requires humans being right up in their space. Can't really do that with a rhino, tiger, etc etc. It's dangerous enough handling them to begin with, let alone while they're performing breeding behaviors! I've seen stallions almost kill their handlers on the way to the breeding shed, and those are much smaller AND domesticated animals.
