Sealant is a good 'get-you-home' measure, however, if you need to put a patch on the inner tube at a later date i have found that the sealant will ooze out and render it nigh on impossible to glue on a patch.
The portable compressor is a good idea , however there's something better than carrying slime. Purchase FlatOut and put the recommended amount inside your inner tubes/tirs to seal up punctures as they happen with minimal air loss. it seals holes instantly as soon as the offending object is removed, just takes a spin of the wheel

Even if just to get you home. :) Yes any portable compressor is great! No more work outs with an manual air pump, the compressor will also charge your phone if you plug it in to the USB connection. :)

Agreed!. Thank You for that. I haven't experienced that issue but then haven't used a patch kit in years although I always carry a spare tube.
