What a beautiful documentary. I understand the plight of Tibetans to preserve their culture and identity while living in a different country, be it India or abroad. I'm Indian and living in Canada, and because English is my first language by circumstance, I only understand Hindi and cannot speak it... and if my kids are born here in Canada - they will not know any Hindi, nor have 0 ties to India... and just like that in 2 generations all Indian culture in my lineage would die... and that's really how quickly cultures die out. The Natives / Indigenous peoples of Canada face this too, and fight hard to keep their culture, language, and traditions alive after a few generations of oppression and suffering. I salute all the Tibetans fighting to preserve their culture, language, and art. May Tibet be free. 🐉☀☯💙❤
I am not happy that tibetans have to live in exile and that Tibetans have suffered so, but I am glad that India has provided sanctuary to His Holiness, the Dalai lama, and Tibetan refugees.

Thank you for providing us this update on His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama. I have been having difficulty getting information about His Holiness since the dammed Chinese have added tighter restrictions on their border, and now it only releases propaganda. Their threat to *appoint* a man who has, since the very first Dalai Lama, only been discovered by monks following signs and omens flies in the face of their deepest traditions. I hope that one day, His Holiness will be able to look out upon his home country with his own eyes. Namaste!
You should take a look at history, 200 years ago his position was challenged multiple times. The Mongolians stabilized his position. The Chinese emperor supports the continued existence of this position
I wish all 6.7 million Tibetans from around the world could come to the US. Where I live, West Virginia, has to room but doesn't have the infrastructure currently, but that could be solved.
It's not about moving to the US, it's all about who came to their rescue when they really needed it! It was the Indians. US is nothing but a power broker that only causes further issues for every nation it touches in Asia and tried to use against China. It's disgusting to see the American govt just trying to find opportunity for their military complex in others grave times, or rather they would initiate themselves. Also, please don't forget the rampant Christian extremists and evangelists that just would want to convert these Tibetans had they been in US, compared to Hindus that actually don't disturb them and haven't for decades. Americans have been long funding christian conversion camps in India as is.
@@HaMal-gz1ph Unfortunately, just a small group went to India and a number of other places, including the US and Canada. The vast majority are still in Tibet or outside Tibet in China. China is destroying Tibet and the Tibetan culture. As far as trying to convert Tibetans from Buddhist to Christian, that is some Christian groups from the US, not the US government. My wife is Buddhist from Vietnam and not because of her, but I have found the Buddhist philosophy to be far closer to my beliefs than Christian ever did.
@jimgraham9450 Absolutely understood, but the US government/ CIA have literally been caught by India's agencies for funding conversion camps and missionaries in the state of Punjab and North Eastern states! The govt ofc won't dirty their hands directly into this, it's done through various platforms/ groups.
I am from Dharamshala, Tibetans are now allowed to have an Indian citizenship so they can now travel freely and things like opening a shop have got easier. But its true that jobs here are scarce (even for locals) and Tibetans are at a disadvantage of already not being well off to put some sort of investment into shop/business and language barrier is also there. But they have always been at peace with themselves and I have never seen them complain of their conditions, maybe its their culture and religion that teaches them to be at peace with themselves and their surroundings. Hope the Good karma comes back to improve lives for everyone.
