Sounds incredible, as did the IR-X. Just a note for those buying this for a stereo pedalboard: these do not have any stereo options. Since there are 2 independent channels, I assumed incorrectly that there would be an option to run each one out independently for a stereo effect. Also, for those who use their pedalboard for vocals or other instruments: there’s no bypass switch on these. You can bypass the effects loop, and you can bypass the IR sim, but you cannot bypass the pedal. To bypass the IR-X you would need to set up a channel switching pedal or put it in an effects loop. So those are advantages of sim pedals from UA, Line6 and the like over this one. But as I said it really sounds incredible.
@@dieg000n No- I just checked the manual and you can only toggle between channel 1 or 2 using midi. Even if I could do that, I still wouldn’t want to hook up an extra device every time I’m recording just for that one function.

So everything you complained about were your own assumptions. If you read the manual before buying it you would know what it could do. You say “i don’t like it because it can’t do these two things it never claimed to be able to do in the first place”
The two identical channels make so much sense in a pedalboard sized amp, and for pedal platforms it’s so much about “foundational” sounds. You can do a clean or dirty setting, but it would also allow for two different base sounds, for example one set for humbuckers and one for single coils. Sounds really good and it’s cool to see Friedman do these!
I think UA should take notice that it is possible to get a great preamp with midi and a headphone output at equivalent price. Plus de fx loop disable switch is also a big plus. UA pedals sound awesome but are too studio oriented and not thought for live gig. Anyway good job Friedman on a great device.
Ok, I realllyyy want this it's giving me some real Led Zep vibes 👀 also, I see that the output is TRS, does this mean that there is some sort of stereo field being done with the cabs? or is it just TRS for sake of being balanced?
It's insane what people can put into a pedal now days, that thing is pretty decent, just a little fizzy with the higher gain settings, but some people like fizz.
I thought I would be the only one noticing that high fizzy area but that's the problem. If you want a very bright sound (as this amp seems to lean toward) then it'll be having that issue but live... prob won't tell it as much and in studio... just add a low pass or high shelf and chop off those parts. It still sounded good to me. Very bright and cutting but not too harsh.
Sound great, but that color scheme is hard on the eyes… I decided to try to get the LE but when I saw how it turned out I’m thinking nah… get the standard.. 🤷🏼
