"Tekenyamuchina" - "Start the engine". The machine ("muchina") referred to in this song is the drum battery. It calls the drummers to start the rhythm, or to raise the energy during a performance.

The two Tungwiru and the Karipi Karipi are the leading drums which generally stick to their patterns over the course of a song (though the Tungwiru may change on certain songs). Jenje is followed by and provides cues to the dancers, the Mutumba or Mupepe follows behind the Jenje. The latter two always change keep changing their patterns and may sometimes stop shortly.
Mr. Anthony Zonke and his younger brother Mr. Boyi Nyamande - meanwhile 17th chief of the Goronga chieftainship - founded the group about 20 years ago. The group and the members of the Zonke family (among the drummers) are important culture bearers of the traditions of the Marembe people, who are divided by the border between Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
The burial society ("Nzwananai" meaning "Togetherness") functions as a cooperative to provide for material, financial, social and ritual needs in case of illness or death among its members. It is lead by Mr. Samson Chidabva.
