This was so wonderful. When I was a kid on my grandparents farm my Grandfather had to do this by hand because we only had a half dozen cows and no one would come. It would be great if there was a way that this could be set up to do it for small farms. Like a local tack shop letting the trimmer set up and having people bring their cows in. You are an angel for helping this pampered lady get her pedi!

I understand why they turn just one cow down but I bet you that this family would have had you sit down for coffee or what you want and had set up the chute if they knew how! And washed it afterwards!

This was a really enjoyable watch. Lucy has a nice life. It figures that in Wisconsin, cows are pets, too. I just drove through Wisconsin the other day and there are cows doing everything: highway patrol, gas station attendant, rest area maintenance.... At the drive-through at Culver's, a cow took my order and another cow brought me my frozen custard. I'm not complaining; it was the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. That last bit is no exaggeration. Wisconsin dairy products are unbeatable.

I've gone through 4 contractors on my house...but I don't cry about being a single women home owner.... I've decided to just finish the projects myself since the contractors are worthless.... Put your big girl panties on and figure it out. YOU'RE weak and helpless....the rest of us aren't.

Learn to do it yourself, contact a church to see if there's a contractor in their congregation that can help...contact the city for contacts.... hell.... There's a WHOLE WALL of contractors on the wall at Menard's...stop crying about it blaming it on being a woman with a deceased husband AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

That is so cool! Both your willingness to put in that effort and her having a pet cow! I thought I was the only (proud to be same) nut out here wanting a cow as a pet for the amazing character they have. My only luck is that, to my knowledge, my farrier also does cows and pigs (mine thank God wear their feet off on their own so far). This is AWESOME!

Great video. It feels like your first cow in need or cattle rescue video. Ever find any farm animal rescue in need of your service to make neglected cattle have more comfortable feet? That would be so awesome to see you help cows that have been rescued from bad situations. Very nice.
I noticed right away, the difference between that cows hooves, and the one The Hoof GP usually works on in Scotland. Graeme always seems to be in muddy, wet conditions, and the hooves are usually like peeling potatoes. They seem softer, and he uses the knife a lot too. I loved the video you two did a while back, when he came to see you in the middle of winter! He's a sweetheart, and so are you Aaron. Sending you love from Brighton, Ontario, Canada!

Lucky lucky Lucy. Does anyone hold group trims at the fairgrounds or such? Has to be a lot of Lucy's that could use the help. The logistics will be a challenge for any group trying to set one up. Thank you for sharing
That's why it's my goal to be a trimmer for tiny little homesteads like mine. Because nobody wants to do those jobs.
