Ehh, it's basically just a reinforcing question really. Basically, you really did do your own research. It's also the easiest way for people to see if you really know your stuff.
as a medium high rank player on tetris, suisei's advice is spot on correct for the forms, uses of blocks and attacks so ur enemy can have a hard time cleaning them, very good advice from suicopath
Yup, that's my way of placing blocks too. You always want to place them so that you aren't limiting yourself to placing a specific tetromino in order to keep the playfield free from holes
it's likely because Suisei said "hm dame" with a fairly long "hmm" so Miko heard that as a "sure" and instantly reacted to it by dropping it before Suisei even finished her sentence happens 😂

6:36 i spat my drink while watching this part lmao micomet streams should have extra warning of not consuming anything while watching, they are too funny 🤣
I appreciate this Iroh ahh "master the basics" form of teaching. Usually, when getting good at a competitive game, people immediately jump to an expert's level of speed and try to brute force learn the mechanics at that level. Especially if there is an upcoming contest/tourney on the horizon. Which is why you get moments like 2:43, where Miko felt pressured to keep a high speed pace and hard dropped a piece in the wrong place.
this is why teach by a 1 pro player is much better than listening thousand of live chat backseating, so much clear + easy to follow + they know what they are saying
I actually like Sui-chan's advice. Avoid placing blocks vertically as often as possible. Avoid leaving gaps 2 blocks deep. Leaving space 2 squares wide is efficient for clearing blocks without being fundamentally reliant on line pieces. Sui-chan also gave some advice to Shigure Ui and more recently Takane Lui
You can’t 180 spin pieces in a single button press in this game since it’s a guideline official game that follows Super Rotation System(SRS). SRS is the reason you can kick a piece into narrow positions like you saw in the video but it’s only flipping by 90 degrees. In fan versions of the game however there are buttons that can allow you to flip 180.
1:57 if you put the blue there, there won't be any place for the green except for clearing lines, and then you'll get another problem with the red blocks right after. Putting the blue block on the left most is actually bad.
I'd argue they're extremely ready for it, unless the tactic is to be mesmerized looking at her struggling to place block well enough that they forget to clear their blocks... Like suichan on that 3-4th practice round
Honestly that was a very informative clip! Just hearing the statement, "Don't put blue, yellow, green, red, and orange blocks standing" is a big pointer to those first learning the game.
Makes me wonder if Suisei actively thinks of those things when she plays tetris while casually talking with chat and looking back and forth at her chat and the game
at her level, most of what she's teaching miko is subconsciously done at this point. a look at the current state of her stacking and the upcoming blocks will immediately tell her what she needs to do tbh so she has time to talk with chat while playing
For some reason, Suisei coaching Miko is pretty similar to Levi (gotham chess) reacting to his subscriber's games 😂 "Wth is Bishop g7?" Love both of them ❤
Every time I watched Suisei, I really want to try duel with her. Then I just realize, I even can't do T-Spin unless I aware for the chance and prefer play multi rather than duel, low stats too...
If I'm not mistaken, since the skill level of every participant is pretty much even at the learningnovice level (eg, no one is an advanced player using DT cannons or T-spins), means the competition will very heavily depend on their speed, decision making and chaining at the very core. There's going to be the occasional T-spin if someone has learned them, makes or finds an opening for them, but it shouldn't critically imbalance the playing field at this point of time. There's no rubber-banding or randomness, like in Mariokart or Pokemon Metronome.
@@dariainparka3134 Yes, they don't know what to do after that. Even Suisei admitted she lacked in that department (conmecting Dt cannon with a follow up formula)
It's a switch title called Puyo Puyo Tetris with a lot of content. I played in a tournament at PAX West once; it has Tetris-only get modes, although Puyo is interesting to try, especially in competition with Tetris; Puyo actions per minute is a lot lower than Tetris which tends to require a lot of quick and precise button presses; Puyo has more combo potential with fewer moving pieces but has a steeper learning curve.
