I like how you scripted the clip around Suisei’s retreat and the main protagonists of her fall, between Miko who absolutely wanted to prevent it but had no chance of succeeding and those who will put obstacles in the works to finally put Miko forward in conclusion during a Micomet tee-tee moment. Suichan huffing that Copium (while being cute that day too), but the fact remains that we got at least 2 more years with her racing in the holo New Year Cup! That head game move with the Bob-bomb psych-out torpedoed her top 3 potential finish on the final race. Thank you so much, TMD!
The competition was great this year, with many improving their skills since last year (Calli, Mio, Subaru), and the introduction of some cracked racers from ReGLOSS (Hajime and Ao-kun lol) and Advent (Bijou). But above all, FuwaMoco (and I guess, KronIRyS lmao) had the most fun out there, and it was great to watch.
Also Ina redemption arc, after grtting shafted so hard on her last few attempts at tsuyo cup. Even if she ended last, that's just what happens when you have such strong competition, and I'm glad she managed to get in and try her hand at it.

5 different racers got first that cup. It was very competitive. I'm really excited for Biboo next year as she looks to be the best in EN, being able to get first in a race in both the group and strong cups.
Biboo might be the one who dethrones the Japanese Holomems. Ina is consistent, but doesn't have the juice. Kronii has the potential but doesn't seem dedicated enough. Biboo has that competitive drive and skill necessary to beat them
Next year gonna be a doozy. Bijou, Banchou and Lui improves a lot

Ngl, the very last round where it seemed Suisei was going to take the win, at the very end just a corner or so away from the finish Towa turned on some insane driving skills just to inch that draw out. What a beast mode from Towa!
Hell, if Suisei just didn't fall there and finish the final race in 3rd place she would have won the tournament since she would have had 1 point more than Towa.
It is almost ridiculous how incredibly close it was.

sui-chan is also first place this time, but i bet sui-chan wants to be the only first place winner. towa made sure sui-chan has to try again at least one more year to secure herself the solo first place spot.
Towa getting the last two wins of the tournament were one of the biggest deciding factors in her getting the title over Suisei.
This is like the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, where Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards tied in points, but the former won the title in a tiebreaker, having 5 wins to the latter’s 1 win.
God Matsuri, descended and sent her Towa Maji Tenshi to stop the Star from retiring in the yearly Holo Race.
If you notice on the last race on lap 1 .... 4 holomems bumped suisei into a center pit. This led to suisei not being in her usual far in front but in the middle of the pack for most of the remaining race. Leading to the bomb and her freakout to avoid it.

I'm not familiar with Hololive's Mario Kart cup, why these three alongside Suisei in particular?
Well this particular story was about trying to prevent Suisei from retiring. Miko Okayu and Towa were the most focused on preventing Suisei from retiring. Suisei and Okayu won back to back Mario Cups 2022/2023 so they have a soft rivalry in the holo cup and Okayu doesn't want to lose her Mario Kart rival. Miko and Towa are also Suisei's rivals and close friends in general and also don't want to see Suisei leave the New Years Cup tradition. Miko also has the strong desire to one day beat Suisei in a race set so she wants to keep Suisei around for as long as it takes.
Everyone else was most likely indifferent to Suisei's decision either way and didn't make it their priority to stop Suisei from retiring.

@@joshgallie1543 She's the only 2 time champion and came very close to winning it for the third time (tied with Towa for 1st place but lost the countback).
Last year Suisei said that if she ever won twice in a row, she would retire. Those three other members don't want her to retire because they want to beat her.
@@joshgallie1543 Suisei claims that she doesn't want to deal with the pressure from competing in the tournament any more and wanted the glory of retiring after 2 wins in a row. She also wants to be more of a coach and comentator. But she can still do all that while still participating.
As for dealing with the pressure of participating, most members are nervous when they participate too, so she'll just have to learn to deal with that like other players have.
@@salaciousSaucegames I think the difference is that Suisei feels excessive pressure compared to everyone in general. Part of it is that other than the first year (where she was 1st place in the Zako Cup (as in on the top, not the bottom last place)) she has always been 1st or 2nd place, this creates an expectation of a strong performance that a lot of the members don't have to deal with (some other members like Okayu do have that sure, but most don't). There is also the fact that Suisei is quite competitive by nature. Of course other members have a similar drive. But competitiveness + pre established high performance isn't a recipe for calmness.
Moreover the fact that Marine and Choco, both long term parts of the tournament, not taking part this year most likely reinforced Suisei's own wish to retire from the tournament. Thought of course she wanted to leave on a high note rather than just not participating next year. Otherwise I am sure she could place whereever and noone could stop her if she decided she wasn't racing the year after. It is probably her competitive side again that makes her want another championship before she does retire. Same competitiveness most likely will lead to her participating next year as taking 2nd place frustrated her (thought less so than 2022 loss to Okayu or her results in the first tournament) and most likely invigorated her to continue for at least one more year.
Additionally she has her anniversarry/birthday 3D concert on March, and preparations for that most likely start in January at the latest, not to mention any other concerts around Christmas and New Years she might have to deal with and HoloFes (thought of course all members share Holofes and with the Countdown Live an established tradition same for that too. And I am sure some members have anniversaries or birthdays closer to the tournament as well). So probably not that much a big factor.

So whoever wins has to retire and not play next year? Is that why Aqua or Senchou not playing? Did they win last few years?
No, It's just Sui-chan's rule for herself. She wants to retire if she is winning twice in a row. (She win 2023 so, if she win this year she can retire.) Other members have their own reason for not enter tournament.

Suisei came in 2nd place in 2022 and 2024 so she's been on the podium for 4 years straight.
Aqutan didn't participate last year because she had to go to a wedding on the tourney date.

This tournament had quite a few things to highlight in summary:
-The hard road that Towa had to reach the final of the tournament, qualifying by points and winning it in an epic way.
-Only Bijou has been in Advent for 6 months and reached the final of the tournament, and his previous screen was the best of all.
-The Micomet was about to fight afterwards, but in the end it ended in laughter. 26:53 Lol
-Hajime from Regloss first tournament and 3rd place, 1 more year of practice and easily wins the next one.
-Highlight the 3 Holo-EN members who reached the final. Kronii, Ina and Bijou (NoBib00bs).
-Finally there is a different champion apart from Okayu and Suisei who was already bored because it was always the same.
Ps: In the last tournament both Marine and Mio tied for 2nd place with 58 points and in the end they gave 2nd place to Marine. The same thing happens here ,Towa Champion and that's it.
