I want to see Mainoo tried out in the left 10 position. He keeps control of the ball, is a good dribbler, is a decent finisher when he does shoot. Would provide technical ability in the slot with Amad.
The biggest problem is we miss the details...yes hojlund scored, but his hold up/link up is still bad and against mancity don't be surprised if he is completely useless. Zirkzee played bad but his linkup is better. I think you rather get some sort of control in a game and then try and go for the win in the last few minutes than to begin the majority of the game without control. Also, Casemiro and Bruno can not play in the same team at the same time...they are too direct and compete in losing balls...this is why we looked like we kept giving it away. I initially wanted casemiro to stay on for experience but he is too much of a liability on the ball that I think we ashould move him on in the summer. Malacia played his best game since he came back and I still don't think Dalot or rashford have a future with us. Dalot can be a bench player but rashford has to go..he is so awful
Zirkzee lost possession 16 times in the first half. Misplaced most of his passes so what link up play are you talking about? And his hold up play is horrible he is weak, he gets bodied of the ball every time, and he can't compete physically with any defenders. If Hojlund wouldn't able to compete physically with the centre backs what makes you think Zirkzee can? Everytime he plays striker he just justifies why the transfer was a mistake. If he got was the one who received the pass Bruno gave Hojlund he wouldn't be able to score.
