Thanks for doing this lifetime narrative on Charles Hussey, I used to follow his career when he was riding in Jamaica at a young age, and it's very commendable to see the relationship between Him and George Hosang, longtime rivals. They are two of the greatest jockeys to ever come out of Jamaica ❤❤❤
No ifs buts or maybes George Hosang is the best ever. They had to scared him.out jamaica he was."mashing up' too much big gambling and you'd be vaaarry surprise to hear who it's alleged to be one the person.
Two of JA finest horsemen george is the best I've seen ride at CP bet him also at calder and hialeah was there the day he got flipped in the gate big time jocks
I was thoroughly enjoying this interview with two of horse racing legends on the same set at the same time, when it apparently ended prematurely. So, can I safely predict that there's going to be a Pt. 3 gentlemen!? Anyways, in resent times we have been seeing these gentlemen along with 'Bimbo' together at the park, and I do believe that we're going to be seeing them quite often especially since they have initiated and launch the retired horse venture. It would be quite fitting if the promotors could set up a special race for retired jockeys who are still around and not too heavy. Can you imagine having a race with the likes of 'Fanna', 'Georgie', 'Charlie', 'Bimbo', 'Pumpkin' and 'Wackie' (Lynch) and oh, Richie Robertson who I understand is the main man in charge of Rohan Chriton's stable. It would've been a grand spectacle for the spectators. I can recall some years ago they had one such event. And guess who won that race!? nuh Fitzroy Glispie!!! Anyone on here remember that!? If you do, kindly share your thoughts.
LIke others have mentioned, too short but sweet. Really wish there could be a part three. Totally enjoyed seeing and hearing George HoSang and Charlie Hussey talking about horse racing and horse racing at Caymanas Park. Just imagine if we have something similar with Winston "Fanna" Griffiths, Emelio "Bimbo" Rodriquez, etc. Don't even mention trainers like Philip Feany, owners and breeders.
Racing in Jamaica come a long way and you two are apart of it George I always wonder when you make move you don't see to do nothing a you are the best you make it look easy respect to you bought
Well, George HoSang is credited as the master of the pigskin, and he does that very well. Do you remember when 'Eros' developed this habit of 'blowing' the turn in his races because he was traveling to fast. Well, 'Fanna' never started riding him yet. And trainer Feanny summon 'George' to put paid to that problem. 'Eros' made a copy book turn on that particular day when 'Georgie' held him together and made him changed his lead leg and won going away in track record time. In a post interview with HoSang when ask about the trip. He responded by saying - I love to fly, and this horse can certainly FLY! However, the next time 'Eros' was seen at the track he had none other than Neville 'Chacka Chacka' Anderson aboard. He come into the lane pasted to the rails. Neville started prematurely celebrating and ended up losing the race. Lol!!
Gentlemen Chris almond had replays sessions stewards film once a week when I was in training days with r zaidie.Attended every week with our apprentice. Also Jamaicans grow tougher upbringing is different.Hence the danger George and Charlie are speaking of.If that was nit the case, you would nothave been have successful especially George against fragile Canadians.F Glispie a young sensation achieved beating all champions in a ten year riding career which I witnessed personally is heavily discounted
