- Whether you wear makeup or not, this ASMR makeup tutorial is just meant for relaxation. I'm calling it a tutorial for porcelain (or ivory) skin, because I reveal a little trick for customizing your own shade of makeup. I think the look (sans the extra whiteness) will be amazing on anyone though, and I'd love to hear how olive, ebony, and bronzed skin tones customize their own makeup. Let's learn from each other up in here ;)

Hi all! As some people have asked, I'm not wearing a lick of makeup in the beginning. I only told you this because it's a makeup tutorial, so I decided to start from the start :) I've gotten some amazing suggestions from all of you, so thank you for your love and helpfulness.
Someone went on a bit of a Rampage (amazing video game, lame TH-cam game), saying she could see the makeup on my face. I think I do a pretty good job of being straightforward, and this is just my skin. I use a spin brush and cleanser every night to exfoliate, and make sure I get lots of water. I moisturize before bed. Also, I do have a few leftover eyelash extensions from when I got them done a month ago, so the lashes may look a little darker and curled at the ends. Also, I obviously have extensions, as I've admitted again and again and have no problem saying. I'm actually getting them out this week, so this is the last we'll see of them for a while.
I get that a lot of times we see "Celebrities Without Makeup" features and similar, where they are actually wearing a lot of makeup. But fostering a culture where women call each other out for being "fake" isn't loving. Everyone of us, regardless of gender, chooses how we present ourselves--we dress ourselves, get haircuts, use soap, razors, acne cream, and pay attention to our diets and vitamins. And all of that is part of the privilege of living comfortably in our world.
This issue is so important to me, because I have many younger female viewers. I feel especially close to them, and want them to know it's not cool to accept vitriol. This is a video about makeup, because true beauty is far more complex and rare
Ah, that's exactly what I was seeing (the lash extensions), and I probably mistook their added fullness to mean you were wearing eyeliner as well. I hope you didn't take my comment below as rude; I was just clarifying whether or not you had forgotten to mention eye makeup or extensions. It's really such an innocuous and unimportant thing, really (whether one is wearing makeup or not), I would have been surprised/saddened if you'd actually felt a need to lie. Oh my gosh--okay, this is hilarious. I have absolutely nothing on under my eyes, and you were repeatedly being rude. I blocked your account because people were starting to swear at you and it was becoming the top comment on a page that should be peaceful. Why would I bother leaving bags under my eyes and just concelaing part of them? This is, by far, the weirdest thing I've ever seen someone claim certainty over and the most trite but aggressive level of bullying I've seen. I guess I can take it as a compliment that you're so certain I'm wearing makeup. But I've been pretty raw and open about things with a lot more stake than concealer. Why be like this?

Liana Ge. She could possibly have false eyelashes and mascara on but i highly doubt she has anything else. Also BB cream is really only available in Korea. I also highly doubt she has extensions. She dyes her hair and extensions with out getting constant touch ups would stick out like crazy. Some people just have very nice skin.

I have no mascara or any makeup at all on. If I did, I would say so. I have about three or four little lashes on each eye leftover from the holiday and obviously have extensions. I also do shocking things like moisturizing my skin, conditioning my hair, and eating a sensible diet. Do those make me fake as well?
trouble2711 You can get asian BB cream very cheaply off eBay, if you were wondering, without any shipment costs. :) It's available in many places in eastern Asia as well, as well as in asian markets/stores in the West.
I never knew that white foundation existed for this purpose, I've always struggled to find a foundation pale enough for my skin. I will definitely be looking into this product, thank you so much for enlightening me! I watch quite a few makeup gurus on TH-cam but I've never come across this tip before, very helpful video :)
I was just watching one of your older videos (from when you first started uploading) and you've really come a long way in terms of how comfortable you seem on camera. Hey Spring, do a video about your Skin Care routine. I know it's about nutrition as well as hygiene but whatever you do, it works. Your natural skin is so clean and healthy which, in my humble opinion, is much more important to beauty than makeup. You may not feel at your best in your bare skin but I encourage you to feel safe in it. Imperfections are part of being human and your humanity is a large part of what makes you so wonderful. Flattery aside your skin is great and I think many people, including myself, would like to hear about how you do it. ASMR style of course :)

I can't get over the fact that you look really beautiful without make up on. As a guy these videos are relaxing to watch, but it also makes me happy to see a girl without make up on. It seems like the personality can shine more, and that facial expressions seem more natural and genuine.. Maybe that's just me though.

I tend to listen to ASMR videos in the background, while working, rather than watching the video itself. From that frame of mind, this video totally reminded me of Bob Ross & Joy of Painting. Which makes sense I guess, you're just painting your face instead of a canvas :).
Side note I just thought up: if there are annual ASMR awards given out, they should be called the Rossies!

Please don't take this as a rude question but I noticed in the comments that this was scary for you? Do girls really rely on makeup that much? As a guy I spend 5 minutes in the morning to clean myself up. Based on what you look like at the beginning of this video I'm thinking makeup is not really needed
As with everything, I'm pretty sure that varies according to the individual. I know some women who don't wear any makeup. They either don't care, or don't have time, or are blessed with an abundance of confidence. Then, there are people like me who won't leave the house without doing something to their face. And, of course, there are people who fall somewhere in between.
Scary is a relative term here that I'm using lightly. But yes, I rarely go outside without it as I was raised not to. I got called "frumpy" if I wasn't wearing enough, or if my lipstick wasn't the right shade. That doesn't mean I won't go outside without it, nor that any woman should feel beholden to makeup at all, but imagine, for example, if you went outside (or on the internet in front of thousands of people) WITH a full face of makeup. You were raised not to (I'm guessing), and at least someone would say something about it. I imagine that's fairly consistent with what I mean by scary :) Any girl who chooses to wear makeup regularly will tell you how often people ask us if we're sick or tired when we don't wear it. It's just a matter of expectation and preference. I truly enjoy wearing makeup and playing around with new looks, but if I ever have a daughter, I imagine I'll tell her everyday she's just perfect naturally

i think that's the exact right comparison (a regular guy leaving the house wearing lots of makeup).
to be honest i wish it was less frowned upon in mainstream male culture. i imagine it's a nice option for people to have. and it teaches you an art form! (if you learn to do it reasonably well, anyway).
i think i'm going to start wearing it & maybe even cross-dressing soon, but can barely imagine a world where i ever ever ever ever ever let anyone else see me do it. maybe one day, who knows. or i might give it up as quickly as i begin (the cross dressing would be an expensive failed experiment though mind you!) i just think i may as well try it out and see if it's for me or not.
There is a TON of social pressure for women to always be pretty and attractive, and people definitely say and do things to you if you're a woman that doesn't put in what's considered the 'minimum amount' of effort. Being able to only spend 5 minutes getting ready in the morning without getting dirty looks or having it affect your social or professional reputation is a benefit, or privilege, of being a man in this world we live in. As Springbok shared, do say things that are super rude, it can be mortifying! That kind of behavior is called gender policing, if you're interested in researching it more.
I almost never step out of the house without some type of make up on. I am just way too self concious. To many women, it's incredibly important. Sometimes I wish I never started wearing make up, now I don't think my natural self is pretty anymore

I'm not really the makeup type, I imagine foundation might cake up in my stubble. But I keep watching you ASMR girls teach me how to do it properly. There's something just so wonderful and gorgeous about a girl wearing no make up and a big cozy sweater to an introverted person like myself! To me it just says, "Hey screw it let's wake up at 1pm, throw open some windows, sit around the house with a fat mug of coffee and a stack of movies and games and be indoorsy." I love the manic panic white foundation. I can make almost any darker foundation match my skin and can adjust my coloring for different looks, seasons. It's great...And vegan!
