  • Sometimes it can seem like strange cells get wet during a 2D HEC-RAS simulation and it can be difficult to tell if flow should be in that cell, or if you should give your mesh some careful attention.
    This video demonstrates a few of the diagnostic tools in HEC-RAS to help modelers evaluate hydraulic connectivity between cells.

    In the models I am working on it is also possible to see this problem (Im using ALOS Palsar 12.5 meters DEM), so this is a mapping error and not a calculation error?
