So I actually loved your use of a graph in this. That was so amazingly helpful. I'm all for more use of graphs in your future videos!

I'm a sucker for bags and absolutely LOVED your graph & explanation. totally makes sense & all the more reasons to keep buying bags for every age and outing!😂

Love your bell curve explanation! My daughter is 1 year old and I got into diaper bags about 4 months ago so this was awesome! Also my husband is a stats teacher and math nerd and would really appreciate that bell curve.

Such a nice video. I remember taking my Jujube minibe to Mommy and Me class with 2nd and all the first time moms were like....what? your bag is so small? 😂

Such an informative video! I person never felt the need for a larger diaper bag. I actually laughed because I used my itzy ritzy mini from the time by daughter was about one til she was potty trained. It’s such an awesome bag! This video would be so helpful for all new mamas ❤️

I just bought a 12little Diaper Clutch for my 3 yr old and (soon to be born) newborn but a giant bag from Amazon, to keep in the car. This explanations why I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the space in the bag. I hated carrying diaper bags with my son, so I'm convinced I'd like the Diaper Clutch with more items (just in case) in the car!

Definitely needed this.. I’m a new mom but my daughter is already 2.5 years old and I’ve been using a large bag the whole time (and I have a car bag!) I’ve been trying to switch to a small bag and pack more minimal but I don’t feel comfortable yet and hate when its stuffed.

Loved this! I wish I would’ve known about how little I would carry 4 years ago. I bought a huge Vera Bradley bag and had just diapers, wipes, burp cloths, and change of clothes. Lol.

My son is 14 months. I got my Sophie when he was 8-9 months (if I remember correctly lol) and I absolutely love my Sophie. I pack a lot and it works so well. For longer outings, I do need a bigger bad because I over pack lol. Sometimes I use my Itzy Ritzy mini but honestly, I keep going back to my Sophie. Overall, my Sophie is one of my absolute favorite bags I've ever purchased. I'll be using it as a work/travel bag soon.

This is great. The bell curve was fun to see. I currently have an almost 2 year old and a 4 year old. So I need a large, the Sophie is a little tight, but I love it. And since we aren't going out right now, I feel funny buying a new bag.
If possible, could you do something like this but with totes? Specifically the Charlie? I know it is a lot of work, so if it is easier, is the Charlie a large, small or medium tote?
    Thanks Amber!

I love your videos! For me, although I loved the video this packing curve didn’t really work. I am naturally an over packer... so I tend to pack based on outting. Like quick trip= small bag. Day out = large bag. Few hours = medium bag. Weekend= weekender (but d/t covid not really using it). Lol. I love all the videos anyways and information.

Here I am with an almost 15 month old and waiting on an Itzy Ritzy Mini because my BRB is just too big! Packing minimalist, right here. Will probably go back to the BRB when she starts toilet training.

Nice video. I do think this is wildly dependent on the type of packer you are and what your kiddo is like. My kiddo is a year old and I don’t use a diaper bag any more for quicker trips (a couple hours), and a small bag for longer trips. But, I do think, especially for new moms, that if you watch TH-cam videos you feel like you need everything. So i really like that you let those moms they don’t need as much as they think, because I remember thinking I needed so much stuff, when I really didn’t.

What about multiples kids... or 2 under 2 ? 😳

    • @Amberwardell

The same advice applies. I have two children both were 2 under 2 for awhile and this advice is made with that in mind

I agree with Amber. I have 2 under 2, and consider myself a lighter packer so I carry my nylon Sophie when I’m going somewhere with both and my itzy ritzy mini when it’s just one of them. If I were really needing more space, I would carry a separate small tote because chances are I wouldn’t need to carry both bags with me at the same time ie swim class- I’d would have swim gear in the tote and leave the diaper bag in the car for the trip to target afterwards. I wouldn’t need that stuff for any other outing so no point in having the bag to fit it all for everyday.
