How I chose my second EUC (what's under the jacket?)

  • This video goes over how I made my decision on which EUC to purchase next. Sorry for the abrupt ending, but the video was getting longer than I originally intended. I hope this might help viewers when they consider what might be the right wheel for them. In the end it boils down to what is best for you and your situation at a specific moment in time. After a lot of deliberation I finally made my decision. Every wheel has pros and cons and in the end it is a personal decision that only you are in control of.

    Paralysis by analysis indeed! Not sure if I will get another wheel, but I have been watching a lot of reviews. I am pretty well convinced that a suspension is a safety feature. Congratulations on your new wheel and thanks for sharing.

    I love my master, I came from a mten4 with over 2000 miles haha. It was quite an upgrade for me and it's exactly what I wanted. Its so powerful and not so heavy like the other beast wheels like ex30 and master pro. Enjoy your master, after 1100 miles, mine has had zero issues. Nothing but pure fun, its such a blast to go up any hill and incline with the masters torque and power under you.

      Thanks Rick, good to hear about your experience with the Master. Yes, today I was thinking about how happy I am with it as I was riding up a steep hill. I’ve put 48 miles on it and the battery is still at 70% after the initial charge.

    I can highly recommend to do trail riding but maybe get a knobby tyre instead.. Riding offroad is like a cheat code to get really good on EUC.

      @motomert157  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe that! I kept my knobby tire when I had them install the street tire. I plan to try it out when this tire is worn out. Then I’ll hit some cool trails around the Vegas area.

      @@motomert157 I am not keen on seated riding... I prefer having full control of an EUC... being seated limits control in my opinion. Backwards is what I want to learn, but I have neck issues, so can't turn around easily... so, that may never happen.

    That ending was abrubt! Congrats on the Master. I ride a ver. 1 Master and it has never given me a problem. Looking forward to your videos on the new wheel.

      Thanks for the comments G Lash! Yes, I did end that abruptly. Sorry about that! Glad to hear your Master has been trouble free. Hoping for the same. Today I gained a lot of skill in seated riding on the Master and riding backwards on my smaller wheel. So glad I am now part of this community! Ride safe!!

    Hah. I felt this way going from my nikola to my patton. The higher pedals, the much beefier body of the wheel, the suspension-- hopping on a freight train indeed. You adjust and never look back though (as i'm sure you've discovered by now)

    Yup. That’s what I do too: Analysis! I am brand new to euc, very experienced MC.. and am wondering does the same start smaller actually apply on euc? I’d think wheel diameter and pedal height are key, and that suspension right out of the gate would be a positive. But who am I?

    • @motomert157
      @motomert157  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey there. I was happy starting with the M14. It was intimidating though to then upgrade to the Master. The higher pedals and especially the 80 pound EUC were a huge difference to get used to. I am happy I started with the smaller unit, but different people have other ideas on how to start out. I didn’t mind spending money for 2 EUCs and I like being able to choose which one I want to ride based on how I feel that moment and what I intend to do.

      @@motomert157 thanks! I think I agree, but have no experience with euc. I’d guess that, as in motorcycling small bikes are often more fun that larger ones. Taking my GF’s ninja 250 out was always a kick in the pants. What do you think of (channel) Wrong Way! List of characteristics that are needed in a beginner euc? He says in his video from 5 months ago that 4 elements are a must in a beginner euc: 1) narrow shell 2) lightweight 3) low footplates 4) Optimum tire (size) .. he goes on to rate entry level models, but I’d be more comfortable understanding what characteristics to consider, and place them in descending order of importance.

    You went from a king song 14 m to a master ?!? Let’s hope this is not a cautionary tale lol , I would have thought to get a 2nd degree learner type wheel , kingsong 16 , INMOTION v 10 , and rode it until you were completely unstoppable on it . I hope your reach has not exceeded your grasp !😮
