My TV is also a Philips tv and my wifi decided to connect and disconnect so I restarted my TV and nothing is working I replaced my batteries and it still doesn’t work what do i do ?
That handset truck (No. 2) sounded crazy but...yep, it worked! The TV has now come back to life And we can use the remote to turn the TV on and off, something we haven't been able to do for months! Thank you SO MUCH!!
Ahhhhh you are a star!!!!! .......remove the batteries from the remote and pressing Philips TV power button for 30 secs resolved my issue ......weird, the only thing I didn't do previously was to remove the batteries from the remote. Brilliant video - thought the TV was a goner - been off for 3 months
Tried tip 3 with my iPhone torch and I can indeed see the image on the tv so it confirmed the backlight was faulty thank you. Now i need another TH-cam video so I can learn if I can replace it myself. Thank you.
Hi i tried the 1st and 2nd solution. Before, the red light on the bottom wasn’t even open. Now the red light light on the bottom started flashing. What do I do to fix this?
So the issue that I am having, is that it turns on to the brand name screen and then shuts right back off. Whether I use the remote to turn it on or the power button behind it. I tried all of these tricks but still nothing seems to work. Could it just be a bad TV
My Phillips tv monitor has failed in the IC that when you push on off switch it will not engage power supply, I am going to try to by pass this , if the power supply puts out power when you plug it in it will work.
For mine the remote wouldn’t turn it on, and it didn’t seem to have any external buttons. But then I found them inside the connections bay, and just pushing and holding the power button turned it on. Great way to design a TV Phillips!

Listen. Simple solution. Fully Unplug the power cable from the TV. Plug it back very Well so that it's not loose at all. Then plug the wire in the wall. And voilà !

It was the HDMI extension for us! The tv turned right after I removed it! Thank you!

So I did the light trick to see if I see a picture and I did. When you say back light do you mean the led strips inside the tv?
