Hi, can you create an updated video for 2023? This is amazing! Additionally, it would be great if you could consider different charges for WordPress websites compared to normal coding websites. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time and putting in the effort to create your videos. If it's okay with you, I would like to ask if the rates you mentioned are only applicable to first-world countries like the USA, Canada, UK, Western Europe, and the like, or if they apply worldwide? I'm asking because I live in the Philippines.
Such a useful video, thank you. Would you recommend displaying something like this on the website and just being transparent with design and maintenance pricing, also as a funnel to weed out those who want to pay peanuts? By the way, so much better production without the swipes and focal length changes and easier to watch 👍👍👍
How do you feel about designing a website through the Wix builder for a client without using any templates? Is that frowned upon? I have lots of graphic design experience and have gotten very proficient at using the Wix builder using all my own custom content (fonts, images, design elements etc.) Thanks
For small websites just do all the pre production stuff yourself business set up, design wireframe work, art work, domain, hosting, ssl certs ... These "Developers" overselling you these packages ... Know what make sure it's a clear and concise plan and just farm out what you can't do yourself ❤ For me it's the difference of 8900 to 900 flat rate programmer 😊
I appreciate you showing your package deals AND that you also showed the pricing in usd!! I will be outsourcing to my website developer. So how much more should I charge the client so that I make some money from it as well???
I'm about to be starting in this arena, I am hoping you can answer a question that I have that has been nagging me. What do you do about domain names? Do you charge the client a domain name? Make them purchase the domain name? And I'm guessing you probably put their information if you purchase the domain name for them, but want to make sure as well. Thank you.
I always get them to purchase the domain name, and then provide access to the account so we can point it to the hosting correctly. This being, if I died, then my clients would all be without their domain names. So to me it makes sense for each customer to own their own domain name
Great video! Could you make a video about the estimated cost of building websites which you have come across? Like you could categorize them under various prices between $100 - $1, 00,000. Thanks!
i wanted to ask lets say i build a clients website and we already agreed on a price but before i send the website off i need a developer for seo/coding sect how much do you pay the developer. Thank you and great video as usual
All developers will charge a different price. Find one that fits within your budget (make sure you’re actually making profit) and they do a good job. Usually we would get contractor prices before we give a price to a client. That way we know exactly how much the project is worth to us.
How to deal with the money side of the client when doing a ecommerce site? I was doing it through zoom, giving them instructions to approve the payment gateway, getting their business documents so I can get moving. I can see why we charge them all this money because its a nightmare to setup.
Quick question: if you only take care of the designs ... then you send them out to your developer, would you consider that project your work and add it to your portfolio?
I consider it my agencies work. The work comes through my agency, I design, and I outsource to a developer on a white labelled basis, and am clear that it will not be considered their work. Any feature of the project stays on my agencies portfolio
@@tristanparker That seems pretty unfair. However it does depend on if your developer is just using a page builder (not really development) or custom coding it. If its custom coded, they are doing more than half of the work. If you just use page builders then there will be a penalty when it comes to SEO. I would reconsider this.
@@alexanderjamesreed935 that's the developer's decision to make. Besides, he can charge more for the job if he wants to. Also, let's not forget the developer is not the one getting the clients, or the one handling them.
Hourly charge? One developer working one hour could take another 3 hours. I am looking for a web developer right now and I am looking for results. Many talk the talk but no samples of their work.
spoke to a potential client wanted a portal page, a business hiring page with built in resume hiring contact forms, a custom training e-commerce website built. with my 2 years of experience i’d charge them with very little as each page is not from a template. and they said my $4500 for all of those is too steep. like gtfo that’s 3 months worth of work and $4500 is too steep? and you want custom designs, aight cool man
When you charge per page are you also charging for product pages? I’ve always been confused by that I could easily list all the product my supplier can sell me (thousands) but the page would be the exact same former just different pictures and shit can’t you build a gui for the customer to just add product pages
Just started offering CMS type web design. Only have 3-4 in my portfolio and thought $300-$500 was mid-range price 😬 feeling like I may have shorted myself
It's a hard one and I'm in the same boat. You need to get clients for your portfolio, so you can show your work, but you aren't going to get a $2,000 sell prior to that.
@@tonymontanasseptum863 where do you find clients? im out here doing $100 pages with pretty much all custom stuff lol. Cant seem to find clients with big budgets
Clients like that will refer you other clients like that. The goal is to get on the radar of people who know that quality has its price and let them refer their friends with time.

Not even halfway through the video and I learnt so much already. Thanks a million.
Stick to your guns. The cheapo clients are the ones that are going to give you the most headaches
💯 % FACT
This is so straight to the point. Really love it. It helps us a good match between customer needs, the their budget and our resources.
Learnt so much from this video. I thought I was charging too much, by charging $500 for a website
Its crazy how its like he knows that we don't believe in ourselves because I am ouchea charging less than I should
thank you so much for encouraging me to charge the higher price

Dude… new subscriber here. You totally changed my perception with this video! Thank you soul much. ✨
Thanks for sharing. This is an area I’’m addressing now in my business, trying to get an understanding of value base pricing as well.
Try presenting an easy to understand package price. Will sell better than an hourly rate.

Great thoughts and best practices for real life scenario. Thank you.
I've been binging quite a few of your videos, great content! Can you share with us which hosting provider are you using for your customers?
Great to hear. I use TSO host. They may or may not be the best here in the uk. They have a good customer service though.
I found this video very helpfull, I saw a couple detail that I wasn't taking care
Thank you very much, Tristan!

So for a starter you charge $2k just for the design... And then Im guessing another 2-3k in costs to develop?

How much would you charge for a landing page?
Hi! So, what's your take on Gutenberg vs Elementor?
Hi Tristan! Love your videos :) Would you charge a flat fee for a logo design?
I have not done a lot of logos in my time, so it’s hard to give you a strong answer. However I have charged flat fee for each project in the past.
@@tristanparker Thank you :)
Can hosting charges within other packages plan

Why don't you allow them to design atleast a homeoage. If it is all good. Then hire them. Otherwise leave them.
Price depends on size of project.

Soo you price the website as a whole design and development ?
Does Wix count as web development?
Specifically development, maybe not. Web Design yes.
