Aren't galaxies supposed to be closer together the farther back in time we go? If the universe is being stretched apart, why do the younger galaxies look so far apart??
But if we're capturing the light from millions or billions of years ago, it's not current time. I would think the images of billions of years ago would show the galaxies very close together??,,,,

Red-colored galaxies are supposed to came in the direction of the viewer much later than yellow and blue ones b/c of the redshift and the distance related to the color that we see after the wavelength being stretched by the expansion of the universe.
