Really like the way you have separated the motor mount from platter base. This and the solid plinth has got to minimise motor vibration. This is much more effective than just changing the plinth.
Teflon protection of the idler axle also prevents the transmission of vibrations.
A teflon roll for plumbing costs a few cents at a hardware store.
Thanks for sharing, by the way, you gave me an idea on how to power the turntable without electricity, use the chain and counter-weight method as used on a clock and appears in the background in some of your pictures.

@@marcelotobin9904 The platter is removed by grasping it on the sides and pulling upwards.
If you are excessively gripped to the shaft, you can pry it from two sides with a screwdriver (protect the area to pry it to avoid marks).
It looks great. Much better than the bit of rusty metal that you introduced. I have thought of doing something with my old GL75. It's in a Dynatron record player at the moment. It needs a better life.
Don't mistakenly underrate the old Dynatron electronics, particularly the HFC100 series to which these turntables were often fitted. You'll spend a lot to better them. They weren't cheap crap when they were new, more like £2-3k's worth at today's money.

I'm planing to make something similar, i'm using a Lenco B55 chasis with Rega RB300 Tonarm and i was wondering how do you calculate or measure distance and the position of the Tonarm from the platter spindle?
I seem to remember that the distance is 222mm from the axis to the center of the tonearm pillar (in the tonearm documentation it is specified), if you do not find the exact value, let me know and I will find it.
If you decide to make a new drill in a different place, or in a new plinth, I recommend that THE MOTOR IS NOT BELOW THE ARM OR THE CAPSULE TRAVELING ZONE, if you do it will have Hum.

Great job.But tell me, where is the old main on-of switch?How did you change it?
I have removed it.
I have a small electrical switch in the lower zone that activates the motor.
By eliminating all those mechanisms, I have had to use the 16rpm position to move the idler and it does not deform.

I think so, at 10:40 you can also see it.
An axle screwed to the chassis and protected with a plastic macaron.
By moving the revolution lever towards 16 rpm, the shaft that moves the idler wheel moves the wheel outwards, and does not touch anything (avoiding deformation of the same).
The axis of movement of the idler wheel is protected with Teflon tape, of the kind used in plumbing installations, to avoid resonances.

I got them from Google when I did the reconstruction.
Unfortunately I didn't keep them. I'm sure you can find them.
I seem to remember that the original template is at Vinylengine, and the massive skirting template is at LencoHeaven.

Si, reconozco que en su estado original es un plato excelente.
Ya tuve uno original y tambien el modelo L78 (semiautomático), pero mi idea era aprovechar las virtudes de éste aparato y modificarlo a mi gusto.
Busqué el aparato en un chatarrero, estaba oxidado y sin el brazo, solo comprobé que funcionaba el motor que era el punto de partida.
En su estado actual me encanta y será siempre mi primera opción para reproducir mis vinilos.
Comentar que el brazo Rega lo he sustituido por un Denon, ya que el Rega es mas incómodo al no tener portacapsulas extraible para ir sustituyendo la colección de capsulas estéreo, las monofónicas las suelo utilizar en el ROK micropoise (una lástima que sus portas sean exclusivos, ya he tenido que conseguir 12 unidades).

La forma no es lo importante sino lo que no se ve: brazo desacoplado, mecanismos independientes y aislados... Un conjunto donde las vibraciones quedan reducidas a lo mínimo de lo mínimo. Y para ello no se destruyó ningún Lenco sino que se rescató uno que básicamente era inservible.

Eso no es una restauración, es un destrozo. Destruiste una bandeja mítica y legendaria como la L-75, para transformarla en otra cosa, quitándole toda su originalidad, para eso te hubieras comprado un giradiscos High-End y listo.
No estoy de acuerdo con estas reformas.

Por lo menos los materiales utilizados son de calidad, y no los recogí del basurero.
No sé si has leído lo anterior. Pero convertir algo destinado a la chatarra en ese aparato no es un destrozo sino un milagro. Un trabajo bien pensado y bien resuelto.
@@jotarama1 si era algo destinado a la chatarra se pudo haber conservado el aspecto original de la misma, tal como la ideó el fabricante, suena a excusa eso.
Sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que conseguir una Lenco en buen estado ya es de por sí difícil.
Estoy en contra de estas reformas, es como convertir un auto clásico como un Fiat 600 en un hotrod.
¿Excusas? Ninguna. El purismo es una opción, como también lo es el desarrollo y la mejora de algo a partir del original. Si, por ejemplo, hubiera conservado la forma del chasis pero hubiese quitado la gente herrumbre y pintado en rojo, ¿también sería un destrozo? O, con tu ejemplo, cuántos de esos Fiat aun conservando la apariencia exterior no están modificados en el interior: asientos, llantas, motor...? El trabajo sobre ese Lenco me parece excelente, a nivel high end, como dices, solo que a un coste infinitamente menor. Por cierto, los Lenco de esa época no son difíciles de conseguir, otra cosa es que su precio vaya subiendo. Tengo tres, un L75, un B55 y un B20.
Pues quizás si se tendría que haber dejado original, bueno en parte, porque al lijar el óxido del chasis se agujereaba. ¡Hubiese quedado bonito el queso gruyere!.
De todas formas es fácil hablar desde la distancia y sin conocimiento de causa. Ese plato lo compré ex profeso oxidado, sin brazo y sin la mayoría de componentes precisamente para lo que he realizado.
Para mantener originales ya tengo bastantes en el trastero guardados.
