What a machine. I grew up watching Heils on bus window MRs. Distinctly remember seeing my first DuraPack in the late 90s after only the old ribbed bodies, and 5 year old George being puzzled as to why the hopper area was made of wooden boards. The WM drivers would haul ass, rolling up to the bin arms down, just had to unfold the forks for the stab, then slam the ever living fuck out of those 6yd slants as if they were 2yds. Smash the can into the ground, back out and roar away with a frendly wave. The noise and violence was absolutely overwhelming. A 30 ton burgundy monster. This video brought back some great memories, thank you. I got to drive a very similar truck to this one a couple times with Republic in Louisiana. Same age, hoist body, silly Heil forks, and was green under the chipped away Republic/AW blue. The other drivers called it ex WM but obviously the wrong shade. Once on a small one load route on the Westbank, then a little road trip from Houma back to Metairie after the neighboring yard borrowed our last resort spare. Poor thing was beat to hell and very frustrating to use. Didn't really enjoy my time with it, but man did it make a nice sound. Just like this one.
back in 2014 when I was little, I was watching tv in my room, and I saw heard a garbage truck come, it was a green republic services truck like that but numbered 1260, it was from Frederick county. I was wondering why it's green
Yeah. Back before Allied Waste was bought out, Republic trucks had white cabs with green, brown, or red bodies. They’ve since inherited the Allied color scheme, however they’ve ditched the AW logo.
@LEU_WM_266 Hwere I used to live in Vagas I saw some republic truck that were red and white but mainly blue before they replace the mental trash with automated.
@LEU_WM_266 This truck is ex southland systems, even though republic was experimenting with different colors before blue, there were subsidiaries republic had and this was one of them
It isnt the drivers fault, this truck is old and revving didn't do a difference, when you consider the age of this truck you can't call the driver slow

On the 12th day Christmas I got a sweet sounding Mack MR Heil Front Load!
Definitely a fan of the non-blue Republic Services trucks. This one has aged... well. Thanks for the video!
The sweet snort and growl of an MR😎

You got some slow drivers as long it took him to stab a bin I would of dumped both those bins
