Cedros Outdoor Adventures |Catching MASSIVE YELLOWTAILS | September 2022

After an uncertain couple days due to Hurricane Kay passing directly over Cedros Island in September 2022, we finally made it down to the island after the storm for some amazing yellowtail fishing.
We fished all week with Cedros Outdoor Adventures on Cabrilla, the newest Panga in their fleet. Within 15 minutes of our first day, I hooked into two yellowtails on a Blue/White Salas 7X Yo-Yo Jig. Throughout the week, we continued to have 6-8 keeper yellowtail days through a variety of live-bait trolling, fly-lining, and yo-yo jigging knife jigs, flat-falls and irons.
Most of the fish in this video were caught on my Penn Fathom 15NLD with 65lb Braid and 50lb Flourocarbon Topshot- This was my most used reel throughout my week in Cedros, followed by my Penn Fathom 40NLD2, which provided great drag and power when trolling / fly-lining live bait and Nomad DTX Minnows.
