I've played around with even druid and, believe it or not, unending swarm is fantastic in it: full board of minions, including nerubars, wickerclaws, and groovy cats. I also like to run garrison commander in it.

I do think a rules change that allowed quests to just be in even decks would be nice. I know they're in your deck at the actual start of the game but you draw them before the 'start of game' effect animations

Second: ETC 's limit is your imagination. HS made him so we could put sidedeck cards in your decks so we should be thankful for that. They broke their own rules. Afraid of secrets mages, jades and another very speficic counter? You now don't need to sacrifice so many slots of them. Third: Creativity is NEVER bad, it's actually what separates champions from commons. And ETC allows breaking of rules not only to win, but to allow even more varied decks. This video is a good example of how to use the card, IMO. Maybe the deck needs refining as all new gems, but the core is solid.
Thought - technically since the quest is always in hand before genn triggers, isn't your deck only even cards when he checks? or is the checking post-mulligan just a visual thing
if the start of game effect plays after mulligan, does this mean you can put a quest into your deck without etc and still get hero power buff because your hand does not count for your deck and quest is always in your hand on mulligan?

It's good for getting specific tech cards in control and midrange decks. It is not good for getting a quest on turn 5 sometimes.

Sadly it’s just a visual thing probably because of quests alone

Genn and Baku effects doesn't work that way, their animation just for the picture and both of them scans your deck before mulligan
