This Family is amazing. I m a big fan of Father and elder son. Of course all others are equally amazing. Younger son always comes up with a beautiful special analysis every time different from all other three. Mom is Mom, the most sweetest and wise. Sister is always with presence of mind in her opinions and thoughts. DAD.. wow I m just in awe of him... never seen Ppl so amazing and diverse in thoughts ... Loving to watch the flick with you all. Love from India ❤️

Rajamouli’s concept of making movies is for every 10 to 15 mins of screening time , the audience should feel deep emotion, that’s why for every 10 to 15 mins in Rajamouli’s movies you can find a strong scene which will press your deep nerves. So the theory is for every 10 mins you need to hit audience with deep emotion so that they won’t get bored even though the screen timing is 3 hours .He himself told this 10 mins theory of making movies. He learned this when he was watching one of the old Telugu movie in which he felt emotional for every 10 mins , this movie, the lead role is done by the GOAT of Tollywood, senior NTR who is grand father of Junior NTR( playing Bheem role in RRR).

Lord Shiva and the divine plan is a recurring motif and essentially what binds the whole story together. If you think only about the story of Amarendra Bahubali, it didn't end well despite of him being a good man and a righteous 'king', but when you look at both the movies as a whole, you'd see that Mahendra Bahubali performed the ritual of 'rudrabhishek' - the ritual of bathing lord shiva with water, milk or blood, knowingly or unknowingly, for his adoptive mother, and all the impediments in his path are removed: he gets the mask, climbs the water mountain, reunites with his mother, brings the ones guilty for his father's death to justice, fulfils his destiny of becoming king. You'll see that when he finally confronts Bhallaldeva, and the fight is leaning to favor the latter, he again, unknowingly, does rudrabhishek with his blood and crushes his rival. The closing scene of this movie, where Bhallaldeva's head falls through the waterfall in front of Lord Shiva represents that Shiva will fulfill his promise to his devotees and the righteous.
Also, you'd find it interesting that both 'Amarendra' and 'Mahendra' literally mean 'the God/King of Gods', and are used for Lord Shiva. Also, Mahendra's foster parents call him 'Shivudu'.

Lol no way....when adharma(unrighteousness) happens you have to the right to even go against God, let alone a brother. In the Mahabharata war, Arjuna killed karna( although he wasn't aware that he was his blood brother a that time) as he was siding with duryodhana and others who committed grave crimes, insulted the dignity of a woman, did fraudulent things, attempted to kill many people. Similarly in that war, Pandavas killed their brothers Kauravas leaving one brother, yuyutsu who was just and honest and refused to side with duryodhana. There are many examples like this all over Indian mythology.
Shivgami explained why she ordered kattapa to do so. She said history shouldn't remember him as a cruel king who murdered his brother.

Oh shut up. They commanded Katappa to kill because they knew only around Katappa Bahubali’s guard will be down and nobody else could kill Bahubali. Bahubali literally says “nobody can kill me as long as you are next to me”. It’s more of a tactical thing than anything to do with Hinduism.
I’m fairly certain nobody should kill anyone in Hinduism or any other religion for that matter.

Lord Rama was loved as dearly by his step mother and yet her love for her own son clouded her judgement and led to the exile of Lord Rama through which he endured a tumultuous journey and yet in the end he got his righteous place .He was and exemplary " king " , " brother ", " son" , " father " and "husband" . HE followed "the Dharma " . His return to the throne is part of the reason we still celebrate the festival "Diwali ". That is the cultural reference u are looking for.

Bahubali actually loves his mother more than anything. That's why the last thing he asked Kattapa was to take of his mother. That's why Kattapa took the task in first place. He would rather kill Bahubali himself than letting him face the betrayal of the mother, he respect with all his heart. With Kattapa, Amrendra Bahubali died as a hero but if it was ShivGami herself then it would've broke his heart completely so he wouldn't even die with peace. Also thank you for being one of the rare reactors to appreciate Kumar's sacrifice. The guy seriously died for the sake of friendship. From having feelings for Devsena and resentment for Bahubali and being a coward, he developed so well into being a warrior then a great friend an ally of Bahubali and well wisher of Devsena and her unborn child. He died a badass, although he was used as pawn for politics.

This movie is directors vision and he only made it possible by creating larger than life characters and lived with these characters for five years.
All the characters in these two parts starting with Sivagami followed by katappa and kumaravarma made an impact with there brilliant acting by embracing there designed roles and obviously the man the myth and the legend bahubali himself for his heroic performance throughout the two parts for believing along with the director and dedicating his five years only for these two parts. And because you people asked to share which character is your favourite , you people might think i am crazy but my favourite character is bhallaladeva because of his shades of grey acting and shades of happiness. Just to remind you why i chose this character i have listed few scenes below
1.When his mother sivagami compensates bhallaladeva by giving gifts just because she has given the kings place to bahubali he just respects
his mothers decision happily there and walks out with a shade of anger .This is one performance
    2. And during the crown ceremony to bhallaladeva he felt great pride while being escorted by commander bahubali and after being crowed as king
his desire to achieve and dream to be a king has been enacted and finally in the same scene when bahubali is taking an oath you can witness people going mad which causes chaos everywhere and bhallaladeva felt insulted for a moment and again he felt happy for a moment for his brother bahubali's euphoria .The shades portrayed by bhallaladeva looks easy but are difficult while performing with expressions is what i believe.
I hope majeliv family understands my personal opinion and thankyou for showing love towards indian movies and beleive me you will experience
many more beautiful stories in the coming years.
And thankyou once again for letting me share what i felt while reacting to your video which took me way back to when this movie got released.

Its so cool how its connected Christianity, I mean Rajamouli it is inspired from Mahabharata ( an epic novel in Hinduism). Its cool to see how similar all the faiths in world are.

All are talking about how baahubali is based on lord ramas character “yes” but not entirely..his brother never betrayed him and they were step brothers all four of them but they loved each other..story of baahubali resonates more with mahabharatha as yudhishtir and dhuryodhana and the way bhallaladeva dies resonates dhuryodhanas death in kurukshetra war..kattappas character resonates bhishma there are so many parallels to mahabharata in baahubali…and it is a known fact that rajamouli draws inspiration from our mythology and he reads mahabharatha frequently..

  • @jyotsnaamin6970

Kattapa is bonded by a promise. His ancestors promised to serve the throne and fulfill the bearer's wishes. So he loves bahu but since Bhalla is bearing the throne to fulfill his wishes and keep the promise made by Kattapa's ancestors of serving the throne he had to kill Bahu. But at a personal level he made a promise to protect Bahu's loved ones that's his Queen Mom, his wife and his kid.. he is giving his all to save them from Bhalla without disrespecting the royalty. Its pretty complicated and smart how Kattapa navigates thru situations like this... Everything is so complex yet so beautiful.

I think you guys should check out Mahabharata & Ramayana to understand where the references are coming from. Every aspect of the righteousness and principles of the king mentioned in this movie have strong references to those characters. Part of the reason why this movie is loved all over India is that this was the first movie which had strong portrayal of our thousands of year old civilisational and cultural heritage through characters and symbolism, which no Bollywood movie was able to create. It is one such movie which has resonated with the diverse audience of our country till date. Bahubali is termed as the first true Pan- India Movie " for this reason

Guys from 2:34 it's a song so the magical things happening there is not real it's just a dream like song and the visuals there don't influence the story of the movie rather it only just emphasize that Bahubali and Devasena had a great time together during the journey in the ship
NB: In Indian movies you can see lots of these kind of songs sometimes feels out of context.
