    I love that you set yourself apart from the “get the money and run” crowd! Loving people and what you do is the formula! Don’t scam others, put in the work, learn what you’re teaching, so you can be of true value! Thanks man

    Excellent video! I like how you emphasize the point of doing all of this....HELP PEOPLE! Provide VALUE! Help people get RESULTS! This is what I'm aiming for. A win-win situation. Help people get results/solve their problems and you are compensated for that. But putting money aside, there is a deep satisfaction you get from knowing you helped a mass of people achieve their goals.

    I swear Miles - I was just thinking about this YESTERDAY that it would be great to do a Facebook Group on the niche I'm seriously thinking about. This is an amazing video Miles! So great, I have spent the past two years learning marketing and trying everything and got lost in my head on this stuff.
    I think the biggest problem now adays is that there are wayyy too many opportunities. It makes it hard to see the forest for all the trees. Thank you for sharing and making this video.

      there really are too many opportunities out there… Especially once you gain some basic skills, I could move in a dozen directions and earn extra income next week. But staying focused on my core methods, my core business, and my core mission is key. That's how we make long-term progress!

    Hey Miles, I happened upon your content while researching Facebook ads and I have to say, I am loving your channel!! I think you're the first FB ads marketer that isn't rubbing a Ferrari in my face saying I can get one like it in a week if I buy their course. Your mindset is right up my alley. A few questions-
    1) What products or services do you currently sell?? I didn't find any on your site and I clicked through to your private group offer that is currently closed..
    2) Regarding the idea of working for free in order to get experience- I was curious what your perspective is on the idea that people don't invest energetically when they don't invest financially. People will work harder in a course/service they paid for than one they got for free. I'm debating whether it will hurt my credibility if I'm working for free (not in the sense that "my time is worth more", but in the sense that people need results in order to say your product works, but the results depend on them doing the work).
    3) What is the best way to promote you? I would be happy to.
    Thanks again for all you do!

    • @MilesB
      @MilesB  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1- nothing of my own till the membership is ready for a re-launch
      2- if you have the skills and talents to get paid and attract clients, great... If not, working for free can help you get them.
      3 - however you'd like... Share the vids, write a review post, whatever you'd like.

    For me, it goes like this:
    1) Since 2006, I've painstakingly taught myself how to play guitar - for 16, now almost 17 years (including repairing, adjusting, and setting them up)
    2) The other week, I was offered a job as a guitar teacher (1-on-1), and will start doing that - Hopefully, I can help my students achieve a level of playing that's satisfactory to them
    3) Scale it up to groups - start a blog and/or TH-cam channel, though in this day and age I'm weary of placing all of my eggs into TH-cam's basket, so more likely a blog

      yeah, this information could help me out a bunch in like 2004! lol. I deftly wouldn't have had his many failures in my early years making money online if I had truly understood this. I was always focused on "how can I get" and not "how can I give" that was the big shift for me

    • @kramerm4678
      @kramerm4678 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup exactly. I think it’s a byproduct of not developing ourselves. When we’re struggling and want something (financial success in this case) really badly it’s EXTREMELY difficult to take a step back, look inward and approach the world with the right attitude. Lucky for me, I’ve found some TH-cam videos and a few good role models along the way 😁

      Miles Beckler I'd like to ask, on average, how many months or years does it take to build a brand (I'm talking about becoming known via word of mouth and be the automatic go to for your niche) and do you need to establish that brand first before you can monetize it?

    I want to thank you for all the content you've provided. I've been getting into it lately and really trying to figure out where I can fit in (be of service). I have to admit though, I am really hitting a roadblock. I'm not trying to inject negativity here, but I think there are a lot of people like myself for whom that mastery and level of expertise you say is essential to build upon really isn't obvious at all. Any recommendations as to what to do in that case?

    • @MilesB
      @MilesB  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are you curious enough about to read, research, write about for 3 - 5 years? What are you committed to becoming an expert in?

    • @JLThisisMe
      @JLThisisMe 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MilesB Being honest again here . . .I can give you generalities but nothing resembling a refined, viable niche. I have a strong interest in fitness, but so do a million others. I've tried a few things within the internet marketing realm, but never really had much success and that too is a tough tough niche. After being forced out of my job (20 years as Marketing & Events Director -LA Coliseum) when USC took over, I've been freelancing as a copywriter and marketing consultant and, while I'm successful, I'm not a runaway success. Also, researching, reading and writing about a topic is quite a distance from proving myself able to help within that topic. Again, I'm not trying to be obstinate, but just trying to figure out a viable process for moving forward.
