I don't see this mentioned in the comments, so it'd be useful to add this to the video. But you should save and restart to BEFORE you buy/make your egg power 2 sandwich. When you save and exit the game it erases your sandwich powers so next time you come back, you'll have to run over and buy another. This way it save's the some travel time a 2,800 to just always restart at the shop.
Idk if this will help anybody but I enjoyed it passing the time. I found, and tested a few times that seemed to confirm my results, that while standing in front of the picnic basket and rotating your camera around yourself, 3 full rotations and a new egg will spawn (with egg power 2) in the basket. I tired doing 15 rotations and got 5 eggs and tried again with 27 rotations and got 9 eggs and again with 12 and got 4 eggs.
What of you got a Japan Charizard male and a female English Charizard can that work Medusa method also I have a shiny Korean ditto as well will that work as well
@@Mike-N-morty For breeding shiny charizard, the foreign charizard would work since they're in the same egg group. The foreign ditto would work just as well, ditto can be user to breed with any pokemon irrespective of egg group so its generally the superior pokemon to have. If all you're after is shiny charizard, then it doesnt matter if you use your foreign ditto or foreign charizard

That code is meant solely for trading foreign Ditto - so keep entering and exiting until you see a player name with foreign characters, then trade your English Ditto and they should offer theirs. It took me maybe 10-15 tries, less than 20 min
@@redundercover2258 Just a different language from your own. For example, I play the ENG version. So a JPN or SP-EU or a GER ditto will all work. Same if you surprise trade and get a non-ENG mon, you can breed it with your ENG ditto.
This is honestly the real tip. Thank you so much. Got mine in two tries. If you’re in the USA, I’d recommend playing at night when other countries are awake.
I took this method and ran with it. My game has never crashed before but while running through the city, it crashed. A lot of people have complained about the city’s NPC’s messing up the hatching process and crashing the game. I’m just running back and forth between the cave and the entrance of the city. It works a lot better
i've hatched over 800 eggs trying for a shiny Ralts using a foreign Ditto. At this point I'm starting to think Ralts is shiny locked. On a more positive side note I've found 3 different wild shinies [Rookidee, Murkrow, Corvisquire] while hatching eggs I was able to trade for 2 more shinies and a hidden ability starter [Eevee, Ditto, and Quaxly]. Edit: After 800 more eggs I got my shiny Ralts, Roe. Never doing that shit again. Also my wild shiny count is now [Ditto, Finizen, Skiddo, Rookidee number 2, Hoppip, Komala, and female Ralts]. If anyone is shiny hunting these and hasn't had any luck I'd be happy to trade them.
Basic sandwich recipe #18 gives Egg Power 2 so no need to buy it from a store. The Zero Gate is a great place to hatch eggs because you can just run at an angle that causes you to go in a perfect circle without any mobs so you can just hold the angle and not need to look at the screen. Lastly I wanted to point out you can combine the process of waiting for eggs to appear in your basket with a money farming exploit to get infinite Star Pieces and Cosmic Shards so if you do that you won't be able to reset if your bunch of eggs is bad which is annoying 😅

@@manuelvaldivia1682 Doesn't make a difference if the Ditto is shiny. As for the Destiny knot, it doesn't matter as such. BUT if you put the Knot on the Ditto and an Everstone on the Charizard the Everstone will guarantee that the nature is passed down from the Charizard. Good luck

I made the mistake of making the eggs first, saving, then hatching. 😭 I've been going at this for several hours wondering why I haven't gotten a shiny already!
I was worried this method didn't work anymore since I've been trying to get a Shiny Galarian Meowth for the few days, but right as I'm about to type this I hatch it lol.
Just a fair warning this method works but is not fast or fun. I have a 6IV Masuda Ditto and the shiny charm and I've hatched hundreds of eggs spending days on this and still don't have a shiny yet. You might get lucky though and get it on egg #6. You are rewarded though in the sense I have multiple perfect IV mons where as if this was a random shiny I found running around I'd need to hyper train most or all of the stats.

I used the masuda method, to shiny hunt Scorbunny after the 7star Cinderace raid. I got super lucky, and hatched my shiny Scorbunny 4 eggs into hatching.
I’m not sure “fast” is a word I’d use to describe hatching a shiny via Masuda Method with a shiny charm… I’ve hatched thousands of eggs this way looking for a shiny Riolu, and still no luck, as well as over 600 eggs for a shiny Pichu with no success. However when I wasn’t trying to hatch a shiny, and without using shiny charm or Masuda method I hatched a shiny Sneasel within 200 eggs… I wish there was a way to manipulate the rng like there was in Diamond and Pearl via the rng calculator at Smogon.

Ok so I have a question. If I go to the restaurant and get my egg power 2 and save afterwards then lay the eggs and hatch them and none were shiny we are instructed to turn off the game and reload. But if we do that doesn't that mean the sandwich timer will be gone meaning no egg power and also we would have to relay all the eggs again? Am I missing something? I just don't want to have to relay all the eggs again.
I’ve tried this for the last 4 weeks for Feucoco, I fill up 5 boxes at a time and still no shiny. I feel like my game is broken lol I got charmander on it’s second run after I threw him in there to mix it up one time
Aye, it will work. One of the parents needs to be foreign, doesn't matter which. But a foreign ditto helps because it can breed with anything, while the foreign charmander can only breed with its egg group. You can trade dittos using the link trade code 4448 4448. It may take a few trades to get a non English one, so be patient. And good luck!

I recommend running around the entrance of Area Zero. You can just run around in circles no npc, no Pokémon, less chance to crash. I’m 190+ eggs for a shiny Kanto Tauros and…no lunch yet😅
Question, I know how to make egg Power 3 and sparkling Power 3 sandwitches. Shouldn’t this affect the eggs i make shinyodds? I think its worth testing. Two pink mysticas and the typedefining ingredient. To elaborate, the eggs shinyroll on recieval right? The eggs you produce with egg 3 also have the shiny Power 3 active while you recieve them, right?

Isn't it much more time saving if I save after producing all the eggs? So everytime I reset, I just need to hatch them and safe time from producing them.. or the eggs produced is already determined the shiny?

@@DanishNishika no problem this is why the person in the vid is resetting and producing more eggs after so he doesn’t have to mass release after not getting a shiny, so i now have to spend 30 minutes to hatch the same eggs I currently have (none are shiny), save, then produce more eggs and hatch them; if no shiny reset so you don’t have to worry about releasing and make more eggs once you reset and repeat.
It can be another foreign Pokemon but you'll need to make sure it's a Pokemon in the same 'egg group' as the Pokemon you're breeding with. For example, Charizard is in the 'Monster' and 'Dragon' egg group. So as long as you have a foreign Pokemon (of the opposite gender) that is in those egg groups. Masuda method will work. The reason why most people use Ditto is simply because Ditto can breed with any and everything regardless of egg group or gender
What if you saved after all you collected all your eggs? is it determined shiny or not the moment you get the egg? Or when it hatches, cause if not saving after you collected all your eggs would be way faster
Hey! I have just a quick question, whilst doing this, is there a limit to how many eggs can be in a basket? For example, if I just leave the game running for say 30 minutes and come back without having checked the basket and there should be 20 eggs (as an example #), can I claim them all or is there a limit to how many eggs can be in the basket at a given time?
Question: I hatched about 160 eggs late at night, instead of resetting game I accidentally saved the game - does that ruin my shiny odds? Ehh I hatched another 60 eggs eggs earlier but got nothing so I just turned off the game to figure this out before wasting my time 😅
Does using the item to transfer IVs down interfere with shiny odds? I hated like 15 eggs and got a shiny charzard but it took 3 boxes of spigatito to get a shiny and I'd used the destiny knot.

You save before even eating a sandwich. After eating, collecting, and hatching if none are shiny then you reset. Make sure auto save is off. The steps are below. Step 1. Save Step 2. Eat egg power sandwich Step 3. Collect eggs until sandwich runs out or collect until there is about 10 mintues left. Step 4. Hatch all your eggs. If you let your sandwich power run out you can eat another for faster hatching Step 5. If you got a shiny save if not reset your game and start from Step 2

@@SuberDuberUberEvan the egg are already determined. So unless you want to keep releasing mons it would be better to just start fresh with another batch of random eggs. I hope this makes it easier to under stand. If you breed 10 eggs then save, those 10 eggs will always give the same result. If you save before breeding the eggs they will be random every time.
By saving after the egg power is the timer always at that save? I thought even with the save by exiting the game and loading the save file you loose the egg power?
your shiny is determined when the egg is created not when its hatched. if you save right before hatching an egg it will be the exact same pokemon every single time, save before breeding.
I have a question! I thought if you had an active buff, like egg power 2 and whichever other powers, closing your game with a soft reset would cause them to be gone? Even if you save with the powers running. I hope thats wrong, but was what I understood would happen. Could anyone confirm whether the sandwich powers are still there when you re-load the save? Or is that just the price you pay to not have to hatch them all and trash, ehem I mean release them all too?
Eggs are predetermined upon spawn so yea if you want a shiny you’ll need to make the eggs again. The saving before you start breeding for eggs makes it so you don’t have to spend your time throwing away breedjects

just got my shiny charmander so yes this method indeed works
it can make more eggs but not with the masuda method, it's best to just do it with a masuda ditto and any other pokemon that can produce eggs
the best place to hatch eggs is at the dark type team star area it has a big circuit with no pokemon to slow you down

If you get the eggs and save, and don’t get a shiny and restart will the eggs still have a chance to be shiny or do you need new eggs?

Ok so I have a question. If I go to the restaurant and get my egg power 2 and save afterwards then lay the eggs and hatch them and none were shiny we are instructed to turn off the game and reload. But if we do that doesn't that mean the sandwich timer will be gone meaning no egg power and also we would have to relay all the eggs again? Am I missing something? I just don't want to have to relay all the eggs again.
I’m having this same issue with resetting the game. The sandwich timer resets.
Save the game before you buy the sandwich.

Only one mon has to be foreign from the other, it doesn't have to be a ditto,,

I’ve tried this for the last 4 weeks for Feucoco, I fill up 5 boxes at a time and still no shiny. I feel like my game is broken lol I got charmander on it’s second run after I threw him in there to mix it up one time
There's no point in saving after you get the sandwich because when you reopen the software you don't have the egg power timer

Aye, it will work. One of the parents needs to be foreign, doesn't matter which. But a foreign ditto helps because it can breed with anything, while the foreign charmander can only breed with its egg group.
You can trade dittos using the link trade code 4448 4448. It may take a few trades to get a non English one, so be patient. And good luck!

Yep! any language other than the one your game is in works for the mesuda method

I recommend running around the entrance of Area Zero. You can just run around in circles no npc, no Pokémon, less chance to crash.

Question, I know how to make egg Power 3 and sparkling Power 3 sandwitches. Shouldn’t this affect the eggs i make shinyodds? I think its worth testing. Two pink mysticas and the typedefining ingredient.
To elaborate, the eggs shinyroll on recieval right? The eggs you produce with egg 3 also have the shiny Power 3 active while you recieve them, right?
It does not affect shiny odds as this has been tested. Masuda method with shiny charm will be best for eggs in SV

@@DanishNishika i believe eggs are predetermined so you’ll have to produce more and more eggs. i didn’t know this until yesterday night, so when I was resetting and hatching the same mons knowing that it was no shiny all along I was mad haha.

@@DanishNishika no problem this is why the person in the vid is resetting and producing more eggs after so he doesn’t have to mass release after not getting a shiny, so i now have to spend 30 minutes to hatch the same eggs I currently have (none are shiny), save, then produce more eggs and hatch them; if no shiny reset so you don’t have to worry about releasing and make more eggs once you reset and repeat.

Yes, as long as the parents are not the same language it works.
It can be another foreign Pokemon but you'll need to make sure it's a Pokemon in the same 'egg group' as the Pokemon you're breeding with. For example, Charizard is in the 'Monster' and 'Dragon' egg group. So as long as you have a foreign Pokemon (of the opposite gender) that is in those egg groups. Masuda method will work.
The reason why most people use Ditto is simply because Ditto can breed with any and everything regardless of egg group or gender

For example, if I just leave the game running for say 30 minutes and come back without having checked the basket and there should be 20 eggs (as an example #), can I claim them all or is there a limit to how many eggs can be in the basket at a given time?

Does using the item to transfer IVs down interfere with shiny odds? I hated like 15 eggs and got a shiny charzard but it took 3 boxes of spigatito to get a shiny and I'd used the destiny knot.

No save before you begin collecting the eggs so if none are shiny you reset and don't have any eggs/Pokémon to clear.
You save before even eating a sandwich. After eating, collecting, and hatching if none are shiny then you reset. Make sure auto save is off. The steps are below.
Step 1. Save
Step 2. Eat egg power sandwich
Step 3. Collect eggs until sandwich runs out or collect until there is about 10 mintues left.
Step 4. Hatch all your eggs. If you let your sandwich power run out you can eat another for faster hatching
Step 5. If you got a shiny save if not reset your game and start from Step 2

I hope this makes it easier to under stand. If you breed 10 eggs then save, those 10 eggs will always give the same result. If you save before breeding the eggs they will be random every time.

your shiny is determined when the egg is created not when its hatched. if you save right before hatching an egg it will be the exact same pokemon every single time, save before breeding.
I have a question! I thought if you had an active buff, like egg power 2 and whichever other powers, closing your game with a soft reset would cause them to be gone? Even if you save with the powers running. I hope thats wrong, but was what I understood would happen. Could anyone confirm whether the sandwich powers are still there when you re-load the save? Or is that just the price you pay to not have to hatch them all and trash, ehem I mean release them all too?

Eggs are predetermined upon spawn so yea if you want a shiny you’ll need to make the eggs again. The saving before you start breeding for eggs makes it so you don’t have to spend your time throwing away breedjects
