I bled radiators due to cold and different heat.... ending up with temp drop. followed your advice..bingo . thanks so much. problem sorted..Thought I could not solve it. it worked. People like you make such a difference. Thank you so much... Take care.
Thanks a million, estate agent refused to send someone round my house to sort out my central heating, all I wanted to know was how to top up the system after bleeding the radiators and you just explained it in 2 minutes!! Well good
Thank you SOOOOOOO much for this video my boiler was sitting below 1 bar and the heating wasnt doing its job of keep the house warm, after following your video to sort the problem its working fine your a life saver :3
Thank you - that got me out of a bind at 06:30 am when the heating came on and made a horrible gurgling noise. The little needle was below the 1 mark and this video did the trick!
I'm so glad videos like this exist... I put my filling key in the wrong way and it got stuck I almost broke me and the key pulling it out after the earlier stages of refilling, as shown in the vid you simply ,line up the arrow on the key with the unpadlocked symbol ,push the key up the hole and turn it anticlockwise so that it lines up with the padlock symbol turn the screw next it to refill.. also helps to lubricate the key with a dab of silicone etc.. Merry Christmas everyone.🎅🎅
Thank you, the instructions that came with the charging link were confusing and I had no idea what to do! This video was great and I now have hot water again (and a reading of 1.5 on my pressure gauge compared to the 0 it was!!).
I managed to actually figure this out myself, thinking there wouldn't be a video for this make of boiler, then found this vid so thank you for affirming I managed to do it without it exploding 👍
Hero thankyou i though my boiler was just a bit naff and put up with it for 6 month but thanks to this i have finally managed to run a bath without using a kettle
I too am SO grateful for this video. The instruction booklet left with my boiler just wittered on about the padlocks and failed completely to mention the crucial part - water pressure now back to where it should be. Not nearly so impressed by Bosch as I am by you or the Vaillant boiler that was in my former house.
Hi Steve, thank you for the video, I didn't realise how low the temperature of the hot water had dropped until I refilled the boiler tank. Very straight forward and took less than 2 minutes. For other users I think once you line the key up, it may need gentle pressure to push the key 'home' depending how tight the rubber seals on the key are in the slot. Very good video. Thank you again.
Hi Vince, sorry I don't understand your question. I think your device has auto corrected? To insert and remove the key, it can only be inserted and removed when the bleed valve is in the 'Locked' position.
My Worcester-Bosch boiler is 12 years old and still going strong! Just rewatched this video again, as my boiler pressure was a little low. Hopefully will get a few more years before I need to replace it.
Mint...thank you so much for this video it really did help...a lot....I've done a few rad jobs and never had issue.....until this one...I just could not work out where the fill valve was....Thank you !
Thanks for this video, the other ones on youtube don't show this close up. The real difficulty seems to be that it's not just a question of pushing the key in, but pushing it in firmly or the lock doesn't quite "take" and inevitably there's a gush of water. There should be a clearly white marked padlock - actually better to say fill and no-fill, and make it a screw that's turned into place on the front fascia. Finally, just mould the plastic base to fit the key.
Just wanted to thank you for this! Saved me waiting in all weekend for an engineer to come to find out why I had no heating or hot water! Really grateful will share this on Facebook :-)
well demonstrated process,I Have not had the need to try it out myself as yet but I am pretty confident by following this video that I could manage to do as instructed. Thankyou for such an informative and easy to follow guide.
Fantastic. We had forgot how to raise the pressure. We were just putting the key in and turning it without opening the water valve. Thank you for putting this online. Very helpful
brilliant and thank you. glad i watched this. i couldnt understand why i was losing water so quickly. i had forgotten to turn the right hand side knob anti clock wise.
very well explained,I,ve got same boiler and having problem filling to the right pressure. The pressure gauge is at 'o' and it does not move .i would appreciate it if you could shed some light on this problem.thanks
Thank you I managed to fill the water and the heating is now on! However at the end of your demo you turned the white key on On position before you pulled out the key off the machine. I had turned the water pressure back on off position, but I am still confused whether to leave the White key on Off or On position, also I can't pull the White key off it was Stuck there for years!
Cheers! I was a little surprised how far up the key had to go. It felt like it was in when it was only half-way in. Apart from that, all good. Quite a yank required to get the key out...
Thanks for the video. I almost gave up when I couldn't figure why the key on my Worcester Bosch 25si wasn't closing off the water when I tried to fill it. As instructed the arrow on my key was aligned with the lock marking but water was flooding out when I opened the white tap. Oddly on my boiler it transpires that the key has to be facing me irrespective of where the arrow mark is aligned.? So obviously something different . So if you get the same problem as me follow Aquaheat's instructions but then try what I did.
Cracking! the things been banging and whooshing since it was installed in January and now it isn't :-). Might be worth making it clear how far the key needs to be engaged but other than that excellent advice
I just had the same issue with water gushing out. Ensure the arrow on the key is lined up with the open padlock (I needed a torch to see the padlock on the black ring). Push key up quite forcibly until it slides into place and then turn a quarter or so clockwise till it locks into place then you should be set.
I was having a mare as water was pissing out when I went to fill, but realised you did need to push the key to a second click. Push it real hard as the rubber seals might be dry
Hi Steve, Great video - really clear and concise. Doesn't look like the underside of my 25si looks like this one at all those. Do you know if the design was revised in the last three years?
steve I did this and put pressure to 1 and a half bar I bled the radiators .. when I run the hot tap it runs hot for a few seconds and then runs cold the green ignite light goes out and it takes a long time to re ignite never had this problem before pressure drop and was wondering if there could be an air lock somewhere in my Worcester boch 28i the pressure had run to zero bars by the way before I topped up . also a lot of air came from rads
Easy looking, but why don't you specify to turn of the electric switch on the wall 1st( you just said "turn heating off")? Also when I've followed this procedure just now, putting the key to the padlocked position and turning the white nut anticlockwise, I don't hear the sound of the boiler filling nor get any change on the arrow in the red on the clock for pressure increase/decrease. So, back at square one!
Managed to do this for the first time since my husband died. Couldn't have done it without you. Many thanks!

Just fixed my boiler and saved myself an expensive call out fee. Kudos to you, and thanks!
10 years now and still of much use✊

Do you mind push the key UP in the unlocked position? Think should help me thankyou.

Brilliant, many thanks! The water pressure on my boiler was dwindling low and I couldn't make head nor tails of the manual. Your video saved the day!!
What a resource to have for duffers like me who rarely do this! Well done you fantastic chaps former loading this help video!!
Thank you! I wasn't locking the padlock following my instruction manual and water was pouring out. Thanks to you, it saved me calling an engineer out!
Thank you. It was running at 0.4.
It's now at 1.2 bar.
Easy and took minutes.
Cheers.

Thank you for providing this information. I had forgotten how to do top up my boiler.
Thank you SO much...saved a service call for what is an incredibly easy procedure. And got my heating working on this bitter cold night. You da' man.
Thank you for posting this video. Clear and simple explanation. Cheers.

Really grateful will share this on Facebook :-)
Surprised it would effect your hot water, as that's not on a closed system and doesn't require pressure in the CH system to function.
Thank you so much! Bosch website was telling me just to turn the key, not mentioning the knob!
I can't see my comment. About a year ago i were here first time and I keep visiting. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the video! It saved us for having a very cold evening!
Many thanks
Just put a rad back after decorating and managed to fill the loop
well demonstrated process,I Have not had the need to try it out myself as yet but I am pretty confident by following this video that I could manage to do as instructed. Thankyou for such an informative and easy to follow guide.
Thanks guys saved me a £25 call out charge. Keep up the good work
Fantastic. We had forgot how to raise the pressure. We were just putting the key in and turning it without opening the water valve. Thank you for putting this online. Very helpful
Thank you! Just managed to get hot water for the first time in my new flat!
brilliant and thank you. glad i watched this. i couldnt understand why i was losing water so quickly. i had forgotten to turn the right hand side knob anti clock wise.
before inserting the plastic key , I found it much easier to use if you lubricate the 'O' rings with a little cooking oil .
That Was useful, thanks. I had forgotten how to do it since the plumber showed it to me on installation.
Awesome!!! Couldn't find filling loop until I tried TH-cam.
You star!
Thank you. Nice clear and easy to follow video which I just used to do the job!
Thanks Aquaheat, now my Mrs is happy again.
Great video, so easy to follow. Gives you all the information you need. Thank you.
Thanks Steve I always find your videos so useful . IF WHEN I NEED TO REPLACE MY BOILER I WILL DEFINITLEY ASK YOU

That was so useful! Thanks so much for making the video

Thanks Steve you just saved me money and lot more of hassle. Thanks Pal.
Great Video I just used it to top up boiler
Thanks Jayde 🙂
Great video, clear and concise. Thanks very much for making this!
I was very struggle with my boiler thank you very much.
Thanks, useful as I was trying to use the key as the tap. Weird design, what's wrong with the old way of a simple valve I wonder?
You indeed saved the day, thank you sooooooooo much.very helpful video.
brilliant thank you. No music either so an added bonus
Thanks for the video. I almost gave up when I couldn't figure why the key on my Worcester Bosch 25si wasn't closing off the water when I tried to fill it. You just saved me another £150.. cheers mate
I am sooooo eternally grateful for this video 😁😁😁😁🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗♥
Thanks. Been trying to figure out how to do this. Didn't know the key had to go so far up the tube.
Absolutely brilliant Thank You. An excellent video 👏👏👏

Great straightforward video. Thank you

It really works!
Thanks for sharing this great information
Thanks very much. Very useful video. Tried it out and water came out of the turning tap next to the key. Maybe it's an internal issue.
Thank you for posting, it helped me increase the pressure!
Thanks! Saved me a call out. Clear instructions.
Cheers Steve, see you again this time next year 😂
Thanks for the video. Managed it with ease!
Thank you so much for putting that up!!!! Much Appreciated!!!
Thank you for doing this video you save me a call out charge thanks 👍
Excellent. Very clear. So useful! Thank you.
Key is stuck in mine, no matter what I do!! Thanks for the video - helped hugely.
Hi Steve,
Great video - really clear and concise. Doesn't look like the underside of my 25si looks like this one at all those. Do you know if the design was revised in the last three years?
does it cause problems if the key has not been turned to the lock position before unscrewing the white knob to get the water flowing?
Kate Pending
Been a great help-thank you
Thanks for that. I'm surprised at how flimsy the valve on the crossover is. Not what you would expect from a premium boiler.
Thanks plain and simple 😀
Very helpful and easy thank you 😊👍
Cheers man saved me a bunch of money
Thanks, the video gave a me confidence to give it go.
Lifesaver cheers mate 👌🏻
Thank you , my keys just snapped in the boiler is it safe in there until I have a boiler check ?
Great help - thank you. Saved me having to call out property management to my flat again! Much easier just to sort it myself. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks so much! Saved my (cold) bacon!
Cheers man, heating back on again :)

the arrow in the red on the clock for pressure increase/decrease. So, back at square one!
Is there a way of doing the opposite? As in having high pressure, or put too much in?
Thanks for the video...I didn't want to touch the wrong nob...
Worked a treat!👍
thank you so much 😊 did it all by myself.
To drain the boiler just the boiler not the whole central heating system, will u just lock the boiler and just open the drain offs?
I just moved into a flat and the key seems to be stuck in there. Isn't filling either, at either position. awesome.
