      A good number of homeless sleep in Stanley Park at night so walking in it at night or early in the morning is not wise...

      @@StreetsOfVancouverChannel Thank you for replying. This saddens me. Vancouver is such a beautiful place. My family was from Detroit, Mich. They immigrated there from Canada around 1900 to work in the auto industry. Detroit was a beautiful city that is in ruins today. San Francisco , and Portland are going to look just like Detroit in a few years, maybe sooner. Let's hope it doesn't happen to Vancouver, but this blight continually spreads and what follows next is a complete breakdown of government, that just add to it. Government corruption, ineptness and greed driven taxes further drive out business. Business leaves, so do the jobs. Tourists don't want to see ghetto or chance being hurt while near one. Once tax paying residents get fed up and leave, it's over. The homeless situation is beyond sad, but most of them are substance abusers or have grave mental conditions. I don't know what the solution is, but good intentions to these unfortunates , and demanding nothing from them in return is paving their road and eventually ours. . . .to hell. Tax paying residents have to look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves some tough questions. The first being, "Have I been voting for the wrong party all these years?"

      Non-stop theft where they prey upon international students (via stolen bikes/laptops/cameras/phones/etc.) and the elderly and upon tourists from the cruise ships and those staying at hotels downtown Vancouver. If you even leave a nickel or dime on your dash your car will sustain a shattered window and that nickel will be stolen.

      Ukrainians are made refugees, virtually homeless, because of US policy of supporting the extremist regime in Ukraine, the root cause of war with Russia.
      So, the US must pay for their keep in the EU.
      The drug addiction problem in North America has nothing to do with the US spending a few billions for Ukraine; if so, why not the 7 $trillions spent by the Pentagon on destroying other countries, which may well have helped alleviate the drug addiction problem thousand times over?

    • @truthadvocacy
      @truthadvocacy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      В середине-конце 90-х Россия находилась в переходном состоянии от социализма к капитализму, потому что так решили местные лидеры перебежчиков. Отсюда и страдания простых людей в тот период. Сейчас Россия и другие страны Востока выздоровели, и такой ситуации там больше не наблюдается. У западных стран нет такого оправдания, поскольку они хвастаются тем, что являются «самыми богатыми» странами, но имеют миллионы людей, страдающих от некачественного жилья, бездомности, наркомании и даже голода. В России 8000 смертей от наркомании, столько же, сколько в Канаде, население которой гораздо меньше!

What political system and society of value and integrity would tolerate this, when EVERY individual has the absolute responsibility to live as independent and self-sufficient a life as their personal circumstances permit, with a a caring, responsible and compassionate society making up the shortfall. Tolerance of such behaviour and this chosen lifestyle must be deemed to be wholly and absolutely insufferable. If necessary, society and government must be prepared to be cruel in order to be kind.

      Approximately one billion dollars combined is spent by municipal/provincial/federal governments each year in the downtown eastside (DTES). What difference has that money made in terms of changing the people or their circumstances? For 98% of the people none whatsoever. This bubble of sentimentality will burst when a major financial crisis comes home to roost. Expensive social program money can only be sustained by significant tax revenue or by government borrowing. When those things dry up you will see insanity unfold when resource money simply isn’t there. There's no historical precident for this guy of money being essentially thrown to the wind upon so many people who often simply want free food & free drugs & free sex & free booze & free lodging & no responsibility.

    Bad drug policies. Bad or no national housing policies from 1993-2021. Where is the affordable housing? Tons of money being spent on so-called diversity, equity and inclusion. And so-called harm reduction just making it easier for youth to get hooked.
