I'm an old fart so I grew up watching different types of movies than what are being produced today. I miss "summer" movies just plain simple funny entertaining movies with little or no redeeming value except it made me feel good. I hate how so many modern movies are absolutely Freaking Tragedies! There is a place for serious dramatic movies but my goodness one after another after another? It's depressing. During the depression movies were an escape they had happy ending they took your mind off your troubles but today the movie industry wants to exploit tragedy as if they are preaching to us that we shouldn't complain about our problems because they could be worse. I kind of liked the newer Godzilla movies but at the same time they were kind of confusing in the history of Godzilla. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
