I'm porting the installer to Linux that will make it simpler to run.
I'm also implementing a function so that it is no longer necessary to select the specific game directory in some cases.

Lots of steps for a tool that’s meant to eliminate the manual process. Still cool though and thanks for sharing/feeding back to the developer
It does eliminate you checking which file to use, as games that are fsr2.2 or 2.1 or 2 use different mod files. This tool just puts the right mod files for the games. I think it's a good idea and I assume this installer will only get better.

Just to clarify things, this mod doesn’t let u use dlss it just replace dlss with fsr2 so when u enable dlss its fsr 2 that got actually enabled
Dlss can’t work on gpus other than rtx gpus cuz it requires tensor cores
Yes it's not really dlss. The mod tricks the game thinking we have a rtx4090 GPU so it lets us toggle dlss in the settings. Then the mod converts that to fsr 3.

You know is you install once a PortProton you will launch any EXE files right from file without this add game to steam hustle all the time

Steamdeck OLED players must be loving this even more with 90 hertz as am I on my 120 hertz ROG ally. People said those refresh rates were OP for a hand held machine. But then FSR 3 mod happened lol

Hello sir, can you make another video on how to play Assassin's creed Odyssey on steam deck, because it only runs on desktop mode for 3 times and then it stucks at the poster and nothing happens.

Im running AC Odyssey through Ubisoft Connect. Works great on my steamdeck.

Doesn't work on all games but the selected few games is quite a lot in my opinion.
Am I missing something here? Using this installer seems to have way more steps to doing it, than simply dragging the mod files into your game directory? Or is this installer modifying something else?
First time maybe more steps. Also you don't need to check which fsr version to use the right mod files. Overall should be easier, especially for those that don't want to read the installation methods on discord.
If it only made a copy of the mod into the game folder it would be somewhat useless, but the installer also allows the activation of several mod options such as fakegpu, operation mode, installation of cyberfsr and desactivation of the epic games overlay, without Assuming that it is capable of detecting your GPU and activating the necessary options automatically, all of this can be accessed through the gear icon in the top right corner of the installer

No because bg3 is dx11. This mod requires the game to support dx12.

Dx12 and native fsr/dlss support is prerequisite. Whether it works or not might need customizing depending on game I assume. I'm pretty impressed by PureDark's mod as he found a way to make it work on dx11 games too. This is so cool, I hope someone finds a way to get fsr3 into elden ring. I remember reading about someone creating a mod to enable fsr into it but it seems tricky enabling on the deck.
Elden ring does run pretty good on the steam deck already.

There is already a mod implementing frame generation into Elden Ring, made by the Modder Pure Dark. So you have to pay an other 5 bucks.

Look harder. Most likely in the compatdata folder if you added non-steam game.

For me the same the .steam folder is not visible in the installer app
create a symlink from your steamapps folder to your home folder so you can access it easily.

Yes, it's an exe, don't need to install on windows. Just run it. 👍

For those who are going to watch this video, the version shown here was very old and currently the installer is in version V.0.50.0 and several problems seen previously have been corrected, including the slightly suspicious design that has been completely redesigned, I intend to demonstrate the new version coming soon.

It makes the games run at a better performance, like in this video, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is running at 70-80 FPS on the steam deck.

Another mod being promoted here that you have to buy with a lot more complication. The Steamdeck is only capable of doing so much I'm good without the extras.
That's the beauty of the steam deck. You can use it like a console or tweak it like a gaming PC 😉

Wow is this ever pointless. All it does is put the file over but there's so much else you need to do. That it makes it way way more pointless.
this was very early version and was designed for windows. it's improved in later releases and also helps people who don't know what version of FSR the game uses.
